Eklund says in his blog today there is a "better than even chance" he flips to USC
That would suck since I like him but I don't know how we're fitting all the DL prospects we have a good shot with so if he bails that hopefully means we have room for Wright and Tuitele as well.

Not to be a debbie downer but i think Paama is almost a lynchpin type of recruit when it comes to tuitele. Apparently they are good friends who would like to play with each other. If Paama flips to SC we might get johnny nansen'd with tuitele's recruitment as well. Hopefully malloe is better prepared for this recruiting battle better than the tuipulotu drama
In light of recent events, I figure this place could use some good news:
- Confirmed he'll take his Official on December 15th and it will be the only Official he takes - He's excited to be taking the visit with his good friend Fa'atui Tuitele as well as Apu Ika (recruiting them to join him) - Has decided he will be playing defensive line and doesn't plan on entertaining offensive line anymore

So I read back over what Ektard said this morning as well as the Pa'ama quotes from last week.
This new thing was a part of Ektard's big "Where things stand right now" blog, in which he says we're in amazing shape for everyone but you never know things can change in an instant in recruiting type shit.
"Spoke to Paama recently and he contends that he's completely locked in with Washington and isn't planning to take any other visits except to Montlake. What I have heard though is that USC continues to push on him and there's a better than even chance he visits there and could flip. We'll have to wait and see. Ikaika Malloe learned some lessons with Marlon Tuipulotu...let's see if that experience has paid off."
Ektard is just trying to generate buzz and chatter on the message board. Hearing that USC is pushing (duh) and then saying there is a 50%< chance that he could visit USC then throwing out conjecture that he could flip isn't concrete.
The kid is still locked in to UW. In the span of two weeks he told both Ektard and Roof he is UW and UW only, not taking any other visits. He told Roof others are still pushing but that he politely tells them he's committed to UW.
“I’m playing defense when I get up there”, Pa’ama asserted, “I made up my mind — I talk to Coach Malloe every day and he always checks up on me and gets on me on stuff I need to get done.”
So there will be no other visits — schools can try all day — but Pa’ama asserts that he’s 100% committed to Washington and he won’t take any other trips.
To clarify, Pa'ama told Ektard he's locked in and won't take any other visits. Ektard then said he's heard from a source there's a good chance Pa'ama takes the SC visit. Basically just speculated the kid lied to him so he can prepare his subscribers for the possibility of a flip. Let me remind everyone USC has only flipped one UW commit since Petersen has been here and they've tried with many others. Let me also remind everyone SC had to bribe Marlon's entire family to do it. It's not easy to flip UW commits and the early signing period makes it even harder. Not saying he won't flip but the odds are in our favor.

Nothing to see here until there is.
So what you're saying is there is an 81% chance this generates more clicks where there shouldn't be any. Got it.

Marlon was 10x more insistent that he was locked in to UW a week before flipping to SC. Hopefully Paama isnt a shit and doesn't come from a shit family.

I'm guessing he means that there is a greater than 50% chance that he will visit USC and an unknown % chance he flips his commitment.
So, in conclusion, we are currently at the top of his list, but I wouldn't say we ate the leader.
