He's so light on his feet, moves exceptionally well for someone his size and when he makes contact with people they go flying. The discrepancy between how hard it looks like he's hitting them and how far they go flying is telling. He bends well in his stance and he's naturally just super strong.
I really like this kid.
Yep, that's the thing that really stands out. He looks so nonchalant and they just zoom off of him.
It's one thing that really made Trey stand out in HS. He would just get a hand on guys and they would go flying. It's something amazing about Kalepo, too.
It shows you they have tremendous natural power without any serious effort. That's the kind of thing you want in a lineman.
When I watch film I always look for 'errors in physics'.
This morning, Ektard said Sama could play either side of the line, but he's definitely projecting him to play OG.
Dialed in.
It gets better!
Angulo writes up an analysis and says exactly what everyone else has, that while Sama can play either offense or defense and most schools were looking at him as an OG, the Husky coaches see him as a perfect fit for their dline.
So someone comments on it and asks Ektard to dig a little bit more and confirm whether the Huskies want him at DT or OG. Ole' 81% doubles down and says he's already answered it, and that Sama is headed to OG unless the Huskies sign too many OL.
It must be amazing to have the inside scoop no one else has! Dialed in x 2
now that story is as LOL as it gets. He's finished with his visits...well, the unofficial ones anyway, has committed to UW and will mull over who gets his 5 officials but definitely USC and probably Washington. L Oh fucking el.

That was the fastest commitment/decommitment in the Petersen era
Let's not forget the very important fact that even though 18 year old kids are dumb they are not totally stupid. Even high schoolers understand the basic tenet of supply and demand. Paama at this point knows there are probably 3 scholarships to be had on the DL and probably one of those will be saved till later in the process for a high end talent. Effectively there are 2 spots open. Now if Ngalu takes one this weekend does Paama really want to roll the dice by taking officials? Dangerous game to be playing knowing Petersen's rep. As always it will play out but just can't see him being willing to be dicked along by USC while they hunt bigger targets. At least I hope he's smart enough to read the situation.
Per Roof, he still plans on taking all of his visits including UW in December. USC and Bama are both hard after him, but Bama hasn't offered.
I know this is going to go back and forth for the next 7 months, but I'm increasingly becoming convinced he's going to do his thing but stay with UW.
USC was visiting him recently and he told the coaches he's solid to UW. Roof asked if he's happy with his decision. "“Yeah of course”, Paama said, “I’m real comfortable in my choice. I made up my mind.”
I know from some light Twitter stalking that Malloe was on Oahu earlier this week. He was near Kahuku in the photo, so he was probably doing Vimahi related business at the time, but there is no way he went to Honolulu without checking in on Sama.

I choose to believe!
If he's solid on UW, then what's the point of taking visits elsewhere? That's just a waste of time and money.

@CoachJNansen_SC looking for sama's siblings and US citizenship. This recruitment is definitely not over.

"Yes, I plan on taking my five official visits but USC and Washington are the only two that I am sure about visiting."
I love how casually he drops that.
Who the fuck does he think he is, Nathaniel Kalepo? You don't get to take visits after you commit unless you're the star recruiter for the class.
found a baby pic
