If we can't reel in a DB from Everette with a Fiesta Bowl invite, like 5 NFLers in the last three years, and one of the most dynamic recruiters in the Pac-12, then we have a problem.
Quick update on Kyler from the guys who are interviewing him:
He is still in South Bend (has been since Friday for the ND Echoes Banquet) so wont hear from him personally until probably tomorrow morning (since a long flight home tonight). Talked to his family though & it turns out they, especially his mother, wants Kyler to attend ND. Said that Kyler will be announcing on his 18th Birthday, which is the 17th (so in another week) & has no other visits planned before then.
In the insider’s personal opinion he thinks Kyler already is ND & flew across country on his own dime just to go to the banquet & spend time with his new teammates & coaching staff. But that is his opinion, not what any source told him.

Once they interview Kyler I will get it on here.
So basically the kid from the backyard of a school that had 3 DB in the 2nd round last year and made the college football playoff and has an elite DB coach... is going elsewhere. Nice.

If this is true this is just epic fucking failure. Good thing we are stacked pretty deep in the back end because this class is a colossal fail. We will still feel it in a couple years though... never thought we woudl have terrible classes like this with Lake.

Flirting with the Cal job for basically a week really hurt him/us. Hope he can close out this class, if anyone can it’s him. But to have no guys committed at this point in the game makes it TUFF. Please come through, Jimmy.

Lake is going to have to pull a fucking rabbit out of a hat, because he fucked us with that last-minute dalliance with Cal.
Logically it makes no sense, but obviously it's killed us in recruiting this year. Gordon, Irvin and Hampton should've all been committed in the summer.
