Endorsements are rolling in. Polling is up. Clinton is scared. It's going to be funny when the people that tore Hilary down realize what's standing behind her.

And here's the scary truth. Bernie Sanders already won a presidential election in a fucking landslide. It was 2008. America thought Obama was Sanders and he ran away with it. And even though you spent the last 8 years pretending Obama was that guy, he was really closer to the center. But we still want that guy, the most liberal socialist leftist president this country has ever seen, and we're gonna fucking get him.

YR, YK. Except the last 5 words.

What this country really needs is Bernie vs Trump, not Hillary vs Jeb.

Rubio/Cruz vs Hillary still looks most likely to me.

Part of the reason Obama won in 2008 was because people were sick of G W Bush. If Sanders could run against the failed policies of G W Bush I'd give him a shot in a national election but that was 8 years ago

Clinton fatigue begat Bush. Bush fatigue begat Obama. Obama fatigue is not going to beget Sanders.

Sanders will end up mysteriously suffering a grand mal seizure and drooling before he beats the Clintons, they'll make sure of that. That shit just ain't gonna happen.

I'm not worried about Bernie. I'm worried about the idiots that believe his policies will make thing better. Wealth redistribution will not make us better off as a nation.

Or we know that the numbers to pay for his plan don't add up and the middle class will end up paying for it. Some of us don't want to foot the bill for little Jimmy's sociology degree and some of us know that you can't spend your way to a better economy. Some of us happen to like America and don't want a buffoon running it.

Really I probably wouldn't vote for Bernie either. But I laff at comments like this. You don't really know much about Bernie. And you are still scared shitless.

LOL! Bern is well on his way to becoming an octogenarian, that grand mal seizure and drooling business is probably happening now and all on it's own.

His plan doesn't add up? Are you a fucking economist? Who gives a shit? None of their plans add up depending on who you ask. Hell Mitt Romneys plan was "I'll tell you later."

    YRYK.

Hillary is on a multi year coronation tour. It's foolish to think she won't be the democrat candidate, but if she trips and Bern somehow picks up the baton, he fails hard in a general election. Obama did not run on a socialist platform. He ran on the hopey changy thingy platform. Bush fatigue was the straw that stirred that drink, but if Obama had openly run as a socialist, he would have had no chance.

Polling suggests that just under 50% of democrats support socialism. The other 50%, not so much. Independents largely oppose it, conservatives overwhelming oppose it. Bottom line, the Bern, who is an open and proud socialist running on a socialist platform, stands no chance in a general election. He will get the youth vote looking for a free college education, and the pawns that are easily manipulated by class warfare. The majority will reject him, by either not voting or voting for whomever opposes him. Feel the Bern, LMOA!

I'm sure it's okay that his plan sucks because everybody does it. And there's no I in team so I should be obligated by law to pay for something that I don't want to. Too bad on my team there are cuts and I would ship you ungrateful free shit seekers off to Canada first chance I got.

I said Hillary won't be the nominee quite some time ago. First!

Can't agree that Bernie can win it all though.

I was sure McGovern could beat Nixon. He did a couple states.

Obama 08 was a far more rational and better campaigner than Bern. He ran as a quasi moderate who would bring hope and change. Bernie is real angry white male candidate

Seriously? There was nothing to suggest that was possible. I remember well the ridicule Nixon received from the radical youth movement, in fact I still remember seeing a cartoon poster showing a caricature of Nixon sitting on a shitter, his pants down around his ankles, red faced trying force a log out, and all the while he's grinning and flashing a peace sign. Just about as disrespectful as one can get. But that attitude was not reflective of where the country was as a whole. Nixon had comfortable leads in the polls and ended up with over 60% of the vote, he completely destroyed McGovern, in part driven by the belief that he would pull us out of Viet Nam, which he did.

One of the many ironies of Watergate is that the break in was completely unnecessary. Nixon had that election in the bag. Unfortunately for "tricky Dick", he and his minions couldn't help themselves, character flaws ultimately brought him down.

Your argument is awesome, with just one major flaw - you think Obama got elected because of his policies. Obama got elected in a landslide because a) people were sick of Bush b) he had a fresh face (always about the blicks!) c) he oozed charisma d) he talked like a socialist.

Bernie only has one of those four things, and I'd argue it was the least significant of those factors for Obama.

The one thing I will say is that the right cried wolf (WOOF?) a bit by labeling Obama socialist and that has taken the sting out of the word for Bernie. But still, I might be scared of Bernie's politics, but I am not scared of Bernie getting elected. Not in the least.

The best possible thing for the GOP is for the Democrats to nominate an old white guy.
