If they suck this year I will fight my way back off the bandwagonTequilla said:

On the field they should be good this year … anything in the 8-4 range sends the alarm bells into a full scale alert of the highest levels
It’s one thing to me if we got our targets and the stars weren’t where you’d like them
But we’re seeing significant numbers of decommits AND whiffing on many of our top targets (particularly some that should be layups
The biggest worry is likely to come when we see heavy attrition in the off-season … that has the chance to topple the house of cards Jimmy is presiding over
I reuse to panic over the future until after the season -
I expect UW to do well this season. That's not the point. Rick in his second season won the Rose Bowl.ntxduck said:These will be hilarious to bump when UW wins the conference this year

We should be decent this year, but Jimmy will need to change if he hopes to have any future here.
If he doesn't overhaul the entire coaching and recruiting staff come December, then a world could exist... -
I agree with Teq in that if we go 8-4 this season with this easy schedule, that would be a red alertwhatshouldicareabout said:We should be decent this year, but Jimmy will need to change if he hopes to have any future here.

And that changes things how?ntxduck said:These will be hilarious to bump when UW wins the conference this year
If anything that further cements Jimmy and barring a massive change in his approach will just further prolong the likely change
I doubt Oregon trades that CFP appearance with Helf … you take success when you can get it
That said, it’s also important to know when to get off that sinking ship -
Like many, still holding out judgement until we get into this season, but serious question even though I know UW isn't serious enough about football to do it - do you think blowing things up at the end of the season is possible if things don't go well? If this season isn't a big success what is there to get excited about going forward other than a five-star QB who is a back up? A slow regression might actually be worse than just blowing things up early and at least generating some momentum.

Short of a scandal there is no record bad enough to get Jimmy fired after this year. We? all know that but what else is there to talk about?WoolleyDoog said:Like many, still holding out judgement until we get into this season, but serious question even though I know UW isn't serious enough about football to do it - do you think blowing things up at the end of the season is possible if things don't go well? Folks still fondly remember our 8-5 season in year 6 of Petersen................

I'm not going to fire a head coach over offseason roster management before he coaches an actual football season.
I do see where things are headed though. It's impossible not to. We get to watch it play out in slow motion.
Then again, a really stellar season is possible and then who knows? -
We are in a stage of denial if we think all it takes to change recruiting momentum is winning on the field

And you're in denial if you don't think the league and the school took a big hit off the field during covidTequilla said:We are in a stage of denial if we think all it takes to change recruiting momentum is winning on the field
The only way to change the narrative is to change the narrative. USC fans are freaking out too as they should I guess.
People forget that the last meaningful Husky game was another gutless loss to Oregon in 2019
Sounds like some of you want Jimmy to fail just so you can say you were right - Hi Kim
