KJ Costello was on campus today and met with new OC John Donovan. From there Coach Donovan laid out the plan for the new offense and showed KJ the weapons that would be at his disposal. The coaches let Costello know he was a priority and with him at the helm the Pac-12 title would be in play. It's safe to say the Huskies made quite the impression on Mr.Costello.

Many many apologies for the length of this, but reading your post made this whole scene play out in my head in a split second:
Jimmy: KJ, my dude! Welcome to the greatest setting in college football, let's introduce you around!
KJ: Yeah, cool.
JL: KJ, I'd like to introduce you to our OC and QB coach, John Donovan.
John Donovan (wearing generic purple slouchy dad hat): Hey KJ! I hear you are smart, I coached those smarties at Vanderbilt to their best offensive season ever!
KJ: Word? You were the head coach, or what?
JD: No, bro! I was the offensive coordinator, just like I am here!
KJ: Who was the head coach, some defensive genius?
JD: Nope! It was current Penn State coach James Franklin! He and I shared play-calling duties!
KJ: How long did you coach with him?
JD: That's a long story, homeslice! We coached together at Maryland for a long time, well he got called up to the NFL for a little while, then came back to us Terps as Assistant head coach and OC. I was there from 2001 to 2010!
(JL is sweating nervously and adjusting his neck tie)
KJ: Hold up, you were hanging around Maryland for 10 years and never got OC there? Oh, were you the head coach at Maryland? You get canned and then Franklin brought you on when he get the head job at Vandy?
JD: Wrong again, buckaroo! I was at Maryland the whole time! I was RB coach!
KJ: So, you boasted about your success at Vanderbilt... when was that?
JD: Me and Jimmy F, that's what I have to call him now that Jimmy L is in my life...
(JD raises both fists in a celebratory gesture)
JD: YAY! Me and Jimmy F had that magical dream season in 2013!
(KJ scans for exits)
KJ: So what have you done since then?
(JL vomits in his mouth)
JD: KJ, let me level with you, since reaching the top of the mountain at Vanderbilt... well, life sometimes has a funny way of showing you your path. Jimmy F got hired at Penn State and brought me along with him. We had one of the best defenses in the country, and a 5* generational quarterback!
KJ *interrupting*: Hell yeah! That was you with Saquon and McSorley? Those teams were fire!
JD: No, that was my successor Joe Moorhead, but I did help recruit Saquon!
(KJ pulls out phone)
KJ: Your successor? Where were you?
JD: Unfortunately, I was let go after 2015.
KJ: Holy fuck, it says here your 2015 offense was among the worst ranked across the board, and then when that other dude was hired, it became one of the best. And... here it says since then you've been with the Jaguars as their... ASSISTANT RB coach? And you've barely ever coached QBs before?!? Jimmy, you gave me a good sales pitch to get me up here, so level with me. Why'd you pick this guy to be your OC?
JL: Fuck, this hasn't gone at all how I'd hoped, so I'll level with you. I coached in the NFL, and I value that a lot in John's journey; plus, as a former DB he's uniquely prepared to be a QB guru. But in the end...
(JL points to a goofy redhead with a dented skull)
KJ visited today and will be leaving tomorrow, Mississippi state will be doing a home visit Thursday and after that he will decide if he wants to take more visits. I know there are a few schools trying to get him to visit this weekend so getting him on campus was huge, now Jimmy needs to close.
Mississippi State would be a decision so bizarre it would force the NCAA to do concussion protocol on Costello every week.
Pro-Style vs Air Raid, No need to get your isht pushed in by LSU, Bama, TAMU, Auburn Benefits of a state with a average IQ over 100 Lack of a full rip and replace of coaches
If you are a One and Done you have to go to a contender. Going to a school where you’ll likely get your ass pounded and benched by mid-season is ill advised.

@SECDAWG it may be just me but I see Garrett Shrader as a significant threat at Miss St. If JA Kostello goes to Hail State and he’s even just even with a guy like Shrader they’re going to want to play the guy with three years of eligibility left.
Poor kid ....it’s a tough decision. Lucky he’s got those big Gattaca brains to work it all out.
Yeah, Shrader was a top dual threat recruit out of NC and has a lot of potential. Did fairly well as a freshman but if he keeps running that mouth like he did this past season before the bowl game, he may not be able to see where to spin the leather egg.
We like to bag on Loy when it comes to UW vs ND on a guy, but he was the only one that knew Asa was on the fence and leaning ND, he was the only one who got the scoop on McMillan after Petersen bailed, and if it’s about a dude that ND isn’t in on he’s actually been super dialed in with UW.
No loss. Never was. I don’t think he’s starting whether Costello comes or not. Something has always been up with him. The took Yankoff and really only kept Sirmon because they don’t pull schollies.

Hurtful bruh.

And.....
Looks like @DerekJohnson, @TierbsHsotBoobs and @RoadDawg55 were right.
This is definitely a good sign.
Unless it isn’t.
He did have a nice throw against Eastern.
