Is he on scholarship yet? If not, he should be, as he is UW's best LB other than Tryon.
-
I said this in pre-season. It's fucking amazing that I can tell this in Europe, and Petersen can't see it on the fucking practice field because his head is so far up his ass.

We? were so much better without the senior LBs on the field, it was night and day

Edufuan must have had Sky Mufasa appear before the game and gave him a thunderbolt shot of vibranium

I've been wanting to see him all year. People gave up on him after he surrendered the touchdown to a possible all-American running back last week, but that was a little unfair.
-
It really is so odd that he didn’t even get a fucking chance until a week ago. He can run, he can hit, and he plays with passion. I suddenly feel better about ILB next year. We fucked up the playing time situations so badly at WR and ILB. That can never happen again.NorwegianHusky said:I said this in pre-season. No other ILB would have made that play. Maybe Wellington, but he wouldn’t have even diagnosed it until it was too late.1to392831weretaken said:I've been wanting to see him all year. We’ve seen him hit.RoadDawg55 said:

We’ve seen him run.
When he kicks and passes,
we’ll have more fun.

dude pete is damaged goods for not benching the seniors earlier. at least going in to the next year we would have had a more experienced roster with playing timeRoadDawg55 said:

I don’t really care about that and don’t think it’s of much importance. A little bit, but Ulofosio and others have played enough to get some experience. The problem was waiting so long to get them in this year. It cost us a game or two.FirePete said:

Next year is next year. I only care about the current year. The future is for doogs. -

I thought the thread title was a new HH initialism.
-
At this point I only care about next year. Play Sirmon, Tafisi, Ulo, and Ngata as much as possible. No point in keeping Manu and Wellington in there just to make a courageous to El Paso. Unless the goal is to leave those two in Juarez.RoadDawg55 said:

One point late 3rd I saw Manu out covering the slot. I prayed that Luton wouldn't see that.halfbrainmanmolder said:

Prayers were answered. I'm now a believer -
Pete does not pick the starters or decide the rotations, the position coach makes those decisions. This god awful LB play falls on one man only and that is Bob Gregory. Not only did he do a poor job of recruiting, he did a terrible job getting the players ready to play. I just hope he doesn't ruin the young talent we have know that he was gifted.
-
Yet it seems his job is safe...Pete needs to sack up and be a man. If you can't fire your friends, don't fucking hire your friendssonics1993 said:Pete does not pick the starters or decide the rotations, the position coach makes those decisions. Agree, really hope he goes but sadly have not heard anything yet. My guess is that his salary has something to do with it as we would be on the hook to make a 550k payment right away if we fired him. We are already going to have to pay 700k to Bush if/when he is let go then at least anthor 600k for a new OC and money is already tight so I could see that as being a factor for keeping him.BeerThirty said:

pretty sad to hear that $$$ is an issue.

what's going to prevent it from happening again?RoadDawg55 said:

That's what I suspected, so this year's screw up at WR position was mainly Junior's fault? Regardless, Pete is the head coach and is ultimately responsible to tell his position coaches to get their acts together if the starters they picked are not performing (as in the glaring case of Bacteria).sonics1993 said:Pete does not pick the starters or decide the rotations, the position coach makes those decisions. The strange thing about Ulofosio is that Sirmon and Tafisi both played before him early on. It’s evident that Ulofosio is better than both. He did enough for the coaches to trust him to play four games on special teams last year, but he can’t get any playing time this year?sonics1993 said:Pete does not pick the starters or decide the rotations, the position coach makes those decisions. Well if money is really the deciding factor then it's Gregory should go before Hamdan. Neither one has looked stellar but you can argue that Pete has held back Hamdan unlike Gregory who is fully responsible for the situation at LB. Also 600K is not close to what you would have to pay for an elite OC. That would just buy another Petersen robot and then it's LRR. No brainer for me that Bob needs to move on.sonics1993 said:

Maybe the head coach — you know, the guy in charge of everything — should take even a passing interest in which players play.sonics1993 said:Pete does not pick the starters or decide the rotations, the position coach makes those decisions. $3000-4000$300-400$30-40. -
If Ulofoshio truly emerges as a solid ILB (I'll give it more than 1 game to crown his ass), that will be huge for next year. Then you just have to find one more guy to step up between 4* Sirmon, 3* Tafisi, 4* Calvert, 4* Hemuli, 4*Ngata, and 3* Tupitala. Theres plenty of TBS talent there. No excuse for not seeing a huge upgrade in ILB play next year no matter who the coach is
