So a trained cop is too scared to fight back but we expect teachers to be able to stop a mass shooter?

Having teachers pack guns and provide security is beyond FS. Just as having someone who isn't fit to be a hall monitor, as this guy was, provide security and protect kids.

Each district that has more than 10,000 kids in it, has at least a Million dollars in deadwood salary that they pay to administrators. Incinerate that dead wood and use it to hire police to protect the schools. Just as it's done at every HS here in God's country.
Well, hallelujah! We agree on something other than our mutual love for our beloved Kewgs.

Starting with the fact that we're hardly drawing from the best and brightest for these spots to begin with, this isn't exactly the group that you want packing heat.

I guarantee something would go horribly wrong more than once in the first year alone.

I would NEVER have let my kids attend any school in which FUCKING TEACHERS have access to fire arms.

Armed guards? Sure, no problem. Fucking teachers? Get the fuck out with that. So FS.
Because all you've ever known, obviously, are shitty, lefty-lib teachers. And WSU Profs. Same thing.

And because we all know Veterans, ex-cops and responsible gun owners never become teachers, never operated guns, never had gun safety or self-defense training, never hunt, and we'd all rather teachers just stand there and get shot instead of having any opportunity to defend themselves or others.

    You're both fucking dumb.

I want guns at my kids school, to-fucking-day!
You either don't have kids or they're grown and out of school. When is the last time you've been inside a school?

And if it has been recent, did you pay attention to the teachers and admins that were there?

And if you did, where did this practical real-life confidence come from, that they were gonna be the one to lineup and beat back a shooter before the shooter took them out?

You can take people to the shooting range and twice on Sundays all ya want. But just because they can hit a target at the range doesn't mean they are gonna have the quick, cool it would take to beat back a shooter all of the sudden.

exactly. I'm going to make this risky and heavy decision based on anecdotal evidence of some dipshit's experience with his gun hobby. fuck me.

a huge % of school teachers are wispy little women, and of that population, a very small % are gun-freaks.

yeah, if that were the only solution, I could see the point. it's not. so the idea of arming teachers is, as I said, fucking stupid.

the plaintiffs bar would have a field day. I would drop the corporate gig the day after that program were put in place and find the nearest ambulance chaser firm to axe for a job.

they can do with their children what they wish. mine are fine and this is no longer my problem.

My kids are in school now. And have had many lockdowns and shelter-in-places during their time in school. You kewgs are fucking drama queens, and I wouldn't want a gun in either of your Nancy hands, for fucking certain. Nice rhetoric. Keep watching cop shows on TV while I live in the real world.

Guessing no one on here reads the "Armed Citizen" column in their NRA magazine. It's right in front!

I hate the faggots who can't talk about hardening the target and reducing the threat at the same time. Stupid intransigent fucks are the primary reason this shit still happens. Give something to get something, cunts. Or watch a weekly replay of what we saw last week.

You still haven’t addressed the question. When you’ve been in your kids schools. What is it that gives you confidence in these teachers and admins that they can protect your kids from getting mowed down by an active shooter that will have every advantage on them.

We’re talking about teachers here. Not cops. Not combat veterans. Teachers. Half of them are glorified fucking baby sitters.

(CNN)When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

    So let's arm teachers then.

Everyone considered him the coward of the county
He'd never stood one single time to prove the county wrong
His mama named him Tommy, but folks just called him yellow
Something always told me they were reading Tommy wrong
He was only ten years old when his daddy died in prison
I looked after Tommy, 'cause he was my brother's son
I still recall the final words my brother said to Tommy
"Son, my life is over, but yours has just begun"
"Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done
Walk away from trouble if you can
It won't mean you're weak if you turn the other cheek
I hope you're old enough to understand
Son, you don't have to fight to be a man"
There's someone for everyone, and Tommy's love was Becky
In her arms, he didn't have to prove he was a man
One day while he was working, the Gatlin boys came calling
They took turns at Becky, n'there was three of them
Tommy opened up the door, and saw his Becky crying
The torn dress, the shattered look was more than he could stand
He reached above the fireplace, and took down his daddy's picture
As the tears fell on his daddy's face, he heard these words again
"Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done
Walk away from trouble if you can
Now, it won't mean you're weak if you turn the other cheek
I hope you're old enough to understand
Son, you don't have to fight to be a man"
The Gatlin boys just laughed at him when he walked into the barroom
One of them got up and met him halfway 'cross the floor
When Tommy turned around they said, "hey look, old yeller's leaving"
But you could've heard a pin drop when Tommy stopped and locked the door
Twenty years of crawling was bottled up inside him
He wasn't holding nothin' back, he let 'em have it all
When Tommy left the barroom, not a Gatlin boy was standing
He said, "this one's for Becky, as he watched the last one fall
"I promised you, Dad, not to do the things you've done
I walk away from trouble when I can
Now please don't think I'm weak, I didn't turn the other cheek
And papa, I sure hope you understand
Sometimes you gotta fight when you're a man"

It's completely lazy. None of the proponents have even offered a plan, let alone detailed the cost and time needed to implement it. Just run their holes, and sit back while the electorate argues about it and nothing gets done.

I can't understand what would motivate kids to take things into their own hands.

The little fuckers have already shamed a bunch of companies into ditching their support of the NRA, and it looks like they're going to keep going until they get some action from the worthless fucks in Congress. Next will probably be a political hitlist. Either ditch the NRA, or have a zillion kids mock you on social media.

And who has more time to work you over on social media than kids? doogie and his bot army are going to have to work overtime to keep up with them. Maybe they could get some Russian kids to help man the fort.

Defending kids is a local school/ district issue. If you’re comfortable with the steps being taken to defend your children, fine.

Looking for a National policy on d fence in schools is retarded and simply won’t work.

The parents of Broward County will be much more involved in school safety moving forward.

First thing I’d do for starters, is fire the Broward County Sherriffs as I recruited the Coral Gable Cops away.
