This thread is going to be amazing when he doesn't sign tonight and signs with us in February.

I think you have this kid completely wrong. Kids who are likely to transfer are kids who play footsie with a bunch of programs, have a new leader every week, play out the process as long as possible, make their announcement a huge spectacle with a live tv and a bunch of hats. Turner isn't that kid at all. He happened to love different things about two different schools and was torn between the two of them.
“I know at Washington I can play early and that was one of the main decision-makers for me. Coach Lake thinks I could be a freshman All American. We sat down and watched film and, already, I’m learning and am able to work on the coverages.”

I couldn’t be more excited about new Washington commit Asa Turner and his future at the next level.
Absolutely love this get for the Huskies. Not only is he a tremendous player, but he’s an even better person. He comes from a great family as well, led by his mother Diane, which comes as little surprise when you get to know him as well as I did throughout the process. Turner is a special cat, athletically and as a young man. When he opens up, he gives the best, honest, most candid quotes and will be a great ambassador for the university and football program. Be fired up, Washington fans, this is a great addition right here.
Just wanted to stop by and share a few quick words on this great get for the Huskies.
The Husky coaches were a little upset about that because they said they didn’t even know I was looking at anyone else and asked me to give them one more chance. They said they didn't think they still needed to sell me since I was already committed so they asked for another shot and I thought that was fair so I agreed I wouldn't sign early."
There was a lot of backlash against Pete by the media and message boards about how hypocritical he was being over the Asa thing because he flipped guys late like Tuli and Tryon.
But this statement right here was the key. The coaches didn't have any clue he was meeting with ND.
Here is something from Caple's mailbag that I found super interesing:
Has Chris Petersen ever explained why he expects his committed players to shut down visits if they want their spot guaranteed but he’s OK hosting committed players from other schools? Puka Nacua’s upcoming visit got me thinking. — Erik G.
Four years ago, when I was working on a story about Petersen’s commitment policy, I did ask if he thought it was OK to then continue recruiting prospects who were committed to other schools. His response, generally, was that he had no problem continuing to recruit “committed” prospects so long as the coaches at the school to which the prospect had committed were aware he was speaking with other schools.
So everyone who said shit about Pete for being hypocritical can go fuck themselves.
Also, I'd like to point out that every school that was recruiting Asa said he'd be a LB. Only UW was telling him he could be a DB which was an obvious lie and they would just flip him to LB after a year in the weight room.
Or Jimmy Lake knows what the fuck he's doing with evaluations and Asa confirmed it himself.
Hey I was looking where to talk about Asa Turner and whether he's going to UW or ND. The title said this was it, but I can't seem to find anything other than AIDS.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance,
DoogCourics
Consensus is he goes to Notre Dame... at this point if he was going to washington seems like he would have signed this morning...
Au contraire mon ami....
I contend, if he was going to Notre Dame, then he would have signed the NLI that he had in front of him this morning.
Or he'll still do it he just doesn't know how to tell Jimmy no.
Boy, these guys must just crave drama. Go silent on a verbal for months? Expect either the teenager or the competition to notify them if blowjobs are being exchanged? I don't get it. At all.
Didn't realize they needed to keep in touch. I just... I just don't get it.

Once he's signed he's not going to flake out.

Tom Loy, Nebraska classy.

Self-aggrandizing bump.

Welcome aboard, Asa.
