Promote Gregory to DC?
I honestly don’t know if he’s fully qualified to do that, but for some insane reason we seem intent on keeping him here. He can’t recruit for shit, but it feels like he can at least coach players up once they get here, even if he sometimes picks the wrong guys to play. Coordinators typically aren’t heavy recruiters compared to position coaches.
Could it be that we’re better off kicking him to DC so he doesn’t fuck up our recruiting anymore or as much, and we replace him with a linebackers coach who can actually recruit and keep black players at the UW?

Yeah, I would hate promoting Timu to LB coach more than I would hate Gregory to DC. Jen claims she has unlimited resources for Jimmy to hire. Go out and actually make a big dick move rather than just promoting another GA. You'd also be promoting a guy in Timu who is entrenched in the culture of lazy recruiting. Gregory isn't necessarily the part that bugs me. Hes probably going to be good as DC. It's just the general lack of signs that UW is making big boy moves. He has quickly lowered the look of the program to a lower tier than it is. When the effects of his shit recruiting catch up the reality will match this perception and that is somewhere south of Sarkisian levels.

But it assures you're not getting any better at ILB coach, we settled for another nobody at DL coach, and we promoted Boner. All without making a move to bring in literally anyone with any sort of recruiting energy.
Just a complete low energy, low creativity, low cost, low aspirations set of moves. -
