I honestly do not know the answer and will not pretend I do like most tards in the Tug. I agree that we want kids to get educated, but the current system of providing low interest loans is what has driven costs sky high. Could we tackle this by reducing admin bloat at colleges? I don't know? I agree there is a problem,a nd it needs fixing, but the loans + costs both have to be dealt with for any meaningful change. See my post above for why it won't be because all politicians (at least 81%) in America are fuckfaces who would lie if the truth sounded better.Baseman said:
Chinese and Indian families willing to pay retail. Eliminating college loans excludes a yuge percentage of Americans. Millions more unskilled workers fucks us, no? I support the idea of spending cuts but there are unintended negative consequences for workers. Small business needs enough customers that can afford goods and services.Swaye said:

I don't disagree. Lefties have to give on the welfare for the lazy. That said free markets have failed miserably reigning in rising health care and education costs. Infrastructure sucks. Population growth increases the number of drivers on the road. How do you fix? Spending less makes sense on paper. Cutting welfare isn't enough. As a country we can't keep kicking the can down the road. At some point we have to address, no?RaceBannon said:I'd be willing to treat all income equal but not at 37%. Any changes require a change of mindset. The government isn't your ATM, you are. People don't work hard everyday so you can sit in mom's basement and yell at people about the flu while demanding the government pays the rent for you
This system works when people carry their weight and then there is plenty left over for those that truly can't
Wonder why one of the lessons of the Vid isn't how healthy single occupancy vehicles are and stand alone housing. Distancing. Instead the planner still want to jam folks together like a NY nursing home

The loans increased the price of college and will continue to do soBaseman said:

Another Vid lesson, college is over priced and for many over rated -

If I has a son I'd tell him to go into the high skilled trades. You know what nuclear grade welders get paid now? 1 year of school and about 10 years of apprenticing if you are serious and bingo you are pulling down doctor money with about 10 grand in education costs. College is such a waste for so many. You don't need a degree to manage a Starbucks FFS.RaceBannon said:

Eliminate loans for bullshit majors. Want a philosophy or history degree? Fine. Pay for it yourself. Provide loans for computer science, business, science and medical degrees. That requires government oversight, tho.Swaye said:

I do believe oil and coal are fucking the environment and is a problems that addressing. Whatever the case, Here's the capitalist argument for renewable energy.Swaye said:
See a lefty and a righty can agree. The issue is none of the asshole GOP faggots in DC would agree with me. They are all bought and paid for by defense contractors. Just like all the Dem losers are bought and paid for by teachers unions, which is why education will never see meaningful change. When I say I hate both parties and all politicians I mean it. I am a conservative, but the GOP hasn't been conservative since Reagan. They are a bunch of asshats. Dems are just worse with all their bullshit SJW mother Earth refuse. We are all fucked. And we elected the band of losers fucking us. Both parties. Only reason I like Trump is because they all hate him (and he punishes China unlike all the rest of them because all the rest of them are bought and paid for). If they all hate you, you can't be that wrong for America.Baseman said:Swaye said:Also, we need to massively cut spending EVERYWHERE including traditional "conservative" areas like defense. In fact, I'd say an across the board, every single government entity, 17% cut is what I would like to see. Would you lose some services? Yep. Fuck em. Government is involved in too much shit anyway. Take your gender studies grant and shove it up your ass. 12 aircraft carriers? 10 would do just fine. Shrink it ALL.
Cutting national defense makes sense. Aircraft carriers and fancy planes cost too much. We hardly spend on defending cyber terrorism, the real threat going forward. Fewer soldiers reduces medical and retirement obligations. Invading Iraq fucked us. Thanks Dick Chaney. Keeping troops in Afghanistan makes little sense.Swaye said:Also, we need to massively cut spending EVERYWHERE including traditional "conservative" areas like defense. Getting off oil would go along way in saving $ and reducing terrorism against Americans. You can't change the Arabs. Let them blow each other up.

we have government oversight now. Which government are you advocating for as a replacement?Baseman said:

Maybe. I see both sides of the immigration issue. I think the Dems are willing to give here. We should give the illegals currently here citizenship but require them to pay taxes and a five year vesting period that if they are convicted of a felony, they get deported, after serving the appropriate time in prison. Go further and have them pay a higher tax rate for the first five years. Entering illegally afforded them opportunity. If they don't like it, they can leave.WestlinnDuck said:Do open borders increase the struggles of most working Americans to achieve a reasonable middle class lifestyle? If you care about the private sector American middle class how in the hell can you be a leftard? Open borders and the green gaia religion fraud cost them hundreds of billions. You do realize the leftards own the public education system?
In exchange for this, the Dems need to agree on controlling inflows. I think they're willing if the Republicans give on the citizenship for those currently here.
Mostly we need a grownup in the Whitehouse capable of bringing both parties together and solving our country's challenges.
