Pete sure is adjusting to times well

He wouldn't have played even if he didn't have an infection and he knows it.
Can't blame the kid for looking elsewhere.
Pete deserves it. -
@sonics1993 what's the story behind this?
-
Who will play the CHICO role next year?

Play the undeserving seniors, and kill the morale of the young WR. Worshington 2.0PurpleBaze said:He wouldn't have played even if he didn't have an infection and he knows it.

Maybe he just put his couch on Craigslist and intends to pull it off the market ala Sirmon, but he’s likely gone. Maybe Puka Jalen Rome Jones Spiker Ozzy will spell the end of the “Chico” position.

I think it's more a case of him seeing the writing on the wall. He's probably fallen behind due to the infection and doesn't see a path to getting on the field next year, especially with Jalen and Rome coming.FirePete said:

That's the exact thing Pete was complaining about with the Portal. Players who don't get immediate PT are going to be jumping ship at a much higher clip.insinceredawg said:

I also wonder how much of Pete's strategy of "redshirt everyone" last year is starting to backfire. Obviously there were plenty of players who could have used the experience and gotten more than four games of action if we didn't expressly hold them back. Not only would that have better prepared them for this year (where a lot of the 2018 class seems to be underwhelming), but they would have gained a lot more confidence in their roles and wouldn't feel nearly as threatened by upcoming players. I think we're going to look back at last year's 100% redshirt strategy as a huge failure.
