Best of luck to him, but one less midget WR is fine by me.

Ballz probably died of an aneurysm after reading that Sanders 2.0 is leaving.

    This staff is clearly dysfunctional.

They have totally wasted the talents of Chico.

I am frankly disturbed by Mr. excellence Pete.

how many times has Lowe even suited up?

Btw, burn the Chico role. If we have Percy Harvin, fine. We don’t, so there is no need to force someone into the Chico role. It’s FS.

We've so badly misused Chico. He's one of the quickest and fastest guys in the conference, with decent hands, yet we cannot seem to utilize him outside of a few end-arounds. Such a waste of talent.
He doesn’t get all that open, his catch radius is small and he’s pretty bad when he has to adjust. I wouldn’t say we misuse him. He hasn’t been the same since his injury, his mental state has been fucked, and he’s not very good.
He used to ball out a few years ago.

Sucks but it's all about playing time. The kid is looking at the %s and his best path for getting on the field early. Puka will likely command one of the WR spots for at least the next 2 years. Ty Jones the other. After that you have Bynum, Osborne, Spiker, Taj, and hopefully Rome, Jalen, and Racanelli. He could beat out all those guys but he might not.
This is the way things are going to go from now on with pretty much every successful power 5 team having a handful of kids leave every year because they think they can break through somewhere else.

U call furd, cal, and Oregon loses a successful year??
We are program that is regressing because coach is not promoting meritocracy and accepting mediocrity with his players and his coaches
Over the last 4 years, we've been the most successful team in the pac 12 on the field and one of the top in recruiting. Things like this dont work in 1 year vacuums.

This is nothing. One of Oregon's best receivers is entering the portal because they don't want him to redshirt.

Honestly Chico has no wiggle and rarely breaks tackles. There was an end around last week where he effectively tackled himself by poor body positioning.

If a player is in the portal but has not transferred anywhere yet, are they allowed to remain on their current team?

Yes, he can withdraw and all

That's called processing your shitty players out. The big programs do it every year (which is why they all can take 25+ players every year). The Pac12 won't compete nationally until they start doing it too.

$5 says Oregon has already offered him a "slot" (LOL).

Feels like a good time to review Matt Lubick's much ballyhooed contributions to the program:

    1. Colson Yankoff
    2. Trey Lowe
    3. Devon Culp
    4. Taj Davis (who probably didn't come for Lubick since Lubick was completely shut down by that point)

At least he was a great WR coach!
Don't forget his contribution of teaching the young guys about financial wellness. #Build4Life.

This bothers me. Trey Lowe has talent. People will say he hasn't displayed it so no loss, opens up a spot. Well unless he is replaced in that open spot by equal or greater talent, then you have effectively "leveled down" which is precisely the opposite of the whole HH mantra. Now he hasn't seen the field because of medical issues, but if he sees no path to playing time, even when healthy, then that is a failure of the coaching staff to define that path for him. This team really needs to beat Utah or things could spiral to the detriment of recruiting.

I dont understand the credit given to Chico. He had a good run as a novelty in 2016. He was schemed open and usually managed to get what the play call gave him. He left yards on the table more often than not, even when his numbers looked stellar on paper. The play calls arent surprising anyone anymore and he's still leaving yards on the table.

The only difference between 2016 Chico and 2019 Chico is that he's not surprising anyone. He's the same player from what I can see.

The insistence of Pete and Hamdan on scheming roles for players who arent athletically special is the biggest thing holding back this offense.
