Maybe he just put his couch on Craigslist and intends to pull it off the market ala Sirmon, but he’s likely gone. Maybe Puka Jalen Rome Jones Spiker Ozzy will spell the end of the “Chico” position.
He wouldn't have played even if he didn't have an infection and he knows it.
Can't blame the kid for looking elsewhere.
Pete deserves it.
Play the undeserving seniors, and kill the morale of the young WR. Worshington 2.0
I think it's more a case of him seeing the writing on the wall. He's probably fallen behind due to the infection and doesn't see a path to getting on the field next year, especially with Jalen and Rome coming.

That's the exact thing Pete was complaining about with the Portal. Players who don't get immediate PT are going to be jumping ship at a much higher clip.
I also wonder how much of Pete's strategy of "redshirt everyone" last year is starting to backfire. Obviously there were plenty of players who could have used the experience and gotten more than four games of action if we didn't expressly hold them back. Not only would that have better prepared them for this year (where a lot of the 2018 class seems to be underwhelming), but they would have gained a lot more confidence in their roles and wouldn't feel nearly as threatened by upcoming players. I think we're going to look back at last year's 100% redshirt strategy as a huge failure.
Btw, burn the Chico role. If we have Percy Harvin, fine. We don’t, so there is no need to force someone into the Chico role. It’s FS.
Yeah I was joking about the Chico role. It's FS that we even have that role carved out considering it was only mildly successful during a stretch during the 2016 season.
I think Lowe suited up for a couple games last year and got on the field during the Rose Bowl. Don't think he's had any targets though.

Whole offense scheme build on around out smarting your opponent needs to gtfo. Enough of this lil dick complex of an offense. Kids are paralyzed by analysis when they play.

Hopefully Bynum killed it. He’s an NFL slot receiver
Sucks but it's all about playing time. The kid is looking at the %s and his best path for getting on the field early. Puka will likely command one of the WR spots for at least the next 2 years. Ty Jones the other. After that you have Bynum, Osborne, Spiker, Taj, and hopefully Rome, Jalen, and Racanelli. He could beat out all those guys but he might not. This is the way things are going to go from now on with pretty much every successful power 5 team having a handful of kids leave every year because they think they can break through somewhere else.

We've so badly misused Chico. He's one of the quickest and fastest guys in the conference, with decent hands, yet we cannot seem to utilize him outside of a few end-arounds. Such a waste of talent.

U call furd, cal, and Oregon loses a successful year?? We are program that is regressing because coach is not promoting meritocracy and accepting mediocrity with his players and his coaches

What player can sit on the bench and watch opera mess up, play after play, and not get frustrated.
