I'm not concerned. Variables are how Courtney Morgan does in closing 2022 (Conerly Jr. and the Cali DE) and who DeBoer hires for WR coach (and if he can take a well regarded commit with him).
They've been pretty aggressive on offering 2023 players and seem to making new offers daily (per 247). Some of the commits may be ready to enroll early to count as part of the 2022 class so that helps.
Hiring a non-coach staffer who excels at shooting the shit on the phone can't possibly be the be-all and end-all for recruiting some suggest
We've got a lot of eggs in the basket of a guy who was at San Jose State before his one year at Michigan (which no doubt could have come up with the $$$ to keep Morgan if he was as dynamic as he's been portrayed).
He is probably still shopping for his new Lake Washington waterfront home and on the $3M/year we are paying him it is probably a challenge as the inventory right now is low and prices are high. This isn't like 2013 when Petersen arrived.
Then he has to buy a boat with a coffee holder.
Priorities man.
That said if I were him I'd go for this house on the Seattle side of Lake Washington. Asking under $9M.

Rumors floating on discord that DeBoer may be implementing more drug testing and has a hard no drug/swearing policy in the building which is leading to more attrition than expected.
Back to Tryone’s version of Say Who?
Kids were smoking weed in the facility during lifting and dropping fbombs in front of important alum/boosters. Thanks Jimmy.

lol
I have 0 issue with the staff putting their foot down. This team is rotten. Rebuild time.

Say Whom, Say what, say who say the Washington Huskies are not bad people, but actually good, say whom......

Exactly. There is 0.00% chance Morgan left over money. Had Michigan wanted to keep him badly enough, he's not here period end of story, and if he wanted out bad enough, and again was as excellent as his job as the narrative has been spun, he's also not here. Another program throws Oregon like money at him.
Our NIL program sounds like we are bringing pebbles to a bazooka fight, and in the first month Kalen's biggest win is bringing Morgan over from Michigan (some would call him a meet and greeter, others would say he's a fluffer) who will be here 2-3 years tops, and getting Oregon to give us 500k to take Adams away, but in the process we are going to lose the "strength" (lol lol) of the team w/ Bynum gone, Germaine bolting, and 50/50 at best that Macmillian and Rome stay.
Obviously he deserves a chance and will get it, but so far this looks like seeing two trains 5 miles away that are on the same tracks speeding towards a head on collision.
Right now there is no one in this conference even remotely worried about UW football. We now no why the rumblings from SC about how bad it was going to turn out with Lake at the helm were true, and from a recruiting standpoint other coaching staffs are laughing at going up against the staff we have.

Legit feels like nothing has happened since we hired Morgan. Completely incongruous with anything that's happened since.

He could host some great recruiting parties there.
