BMW and Honda build cars in right to work states and pay $18-$22 an hour. Without a raise I expect, they can't afford American made goods. When you have a complete supply chain reliance on a communist turned dictatorship rival super power that fucking hates you and their long term plan is revenge for the "100 years of embarrassment", youre going to have a bad time.
On the other end of the spectrum, unbridled greed-is-good capitalism essentially destroyed the concept of a 'good corporate citizen' - meaning the overriding purpose of the company was not necessarily share price but a balance of fair treatment of workers, contributing to community causes and a moderate return to shareholders. Instead, it's become all about quarterly earnings and the obscene gazillions the CEO's as a multiple to their median income of the worker bees. It's only been in the last year or so where the C-level guys have to disclose pay ratio information.
Instead of BLM, I'd argue that shifting that mentality would be of greater value to the country - but I'm sure the Bezos' and Gates' and Tim Cook's of the world are quite content with the status quo and using their gazillions to feed the racist narrative.
