This sounds like a golden opportunity to clean up all the homeless. To prevent any health issues. Also time to force vaccines on everyone or send them into quarantine. And secure the border.
Just saw a segment of Good Morning America or Today or whatever the fuck CBS morning show.
Masks do essentially jack shit if you don’t have the virus. The masks being mass produced are more effective to contain the spread of the virus by those who already have it. The most common masks do virtually nothing for prevention to those who don’t have it. Those require more specialized respirators that reduce intake of particles, generally only available to health care providers.
Exactly. The Masks CAN help if you are already infected with something. But only to help from infecting others. The masks will do nothing to protect you from getting it.
The best course is to not go to China. Wash your hands. Get some exercise. Mix in some veggies and go about your life.
And by “panic” you mean take any common sense measures and conduct contingency planning.
We don’t do panic. Your team plays the panic card every month.
3 months ago, ALL THE KURDS ARE GONNA BE SLAUGHTERED when the US pulls out of SYRIA!!!
2 months ago. TRUMP HAS STARTED WWIII BY KILLING SOLEMANEII!!!
Now. TRUMP NEEDS TO TELL PEOPLE THAT BUSINESSES , SCHOOLS AND TRANSPORTATION WILL BE SHUT DOWN DUE TO THE EPIDEMIC.
I’ve never seen a worse lot of millions of people that wish for the worst to happen in the world and in our country to try to own the President.
It makes sense though, given the whole impeachment fiasco and the clown show put up as nominees to be President.
Actually, people should have plans in place should public gathering places be closed. Funny how common sense planning seems like an attack on this President to the true believers.
Back in the olden days--more than four years ago--public health was one of the few functions old school conservatives believed government was actually for. Populists aren't conservatives though, no matter how much you wish.
Yes!!! Let’s force a panic at the disco where people are clearing the shelves at the grocery stores and lining up 60 deep at the gas pumps because of 60 cases of the virus in country. Makes sense. Dawg sense.
Right? "Common sense" = buying out all the surgical masks and stock piling food and water based on irrational fear and emotion.
I know you're being sarcasmic but I already keep an extra emergency pantry and at least 10g of water for my family just in case of natural disaster. People really should have some of these things anyways.
My wife does the same. After the shake quake last year I now have food and clothing in the trunk of my car as well. #prepper
Wife is from NJ, after the quake she has these big eyes and looks at me and says, "We really should think about having some emergency supplies."
Me: Remember how you made fun of me for buying $100 worth of canned goods we would "never use"?
I also keep water & food in my office. Never know when the socialists are going to ban private property.
I keep a bottle in my top desk drawer and figure that will see me through. At least I'll be drunk when I die.

I have a hot water heater that has 60 gallons
I have a hot water on demand system and did actually think of the fact I wouldn't have a tank anymore. Still, here in Ca we have earthquakes and so anything connected to your tap might become contaminated before you think to isolate it. Always good to have the extra drinking water isolated.
I'm actually thinking about building a rain catch system for the house with a 100g tank for watering the garden. Mostly a hobbie project but it would be nice to have a 100g self refilling cistern.
My 2 year old drank some water out of @UW_Doog_Bot 's bird bath / fountain. I thought he might get the shits or something but ended up being ok.
"At this point in the season, CDC estimates indicate that there have been 13 million influenza illnesses, 120,000 hospitalizations, and 6600 flu-related deaths."
Haven't visited this shithole in a couple months but I see nothing has changed. Not surprised the boomers question the seriousness of a global epidemic.
Hey damoneFS, did Vernon Adams help you with your maff? The coronavius currently has a 3.4% fatality rate. If it infects 13M ppl like the flu has this season, that's almost 450k deaths or 67x more than the flu. but but but it's a hoax to hurt Trump's re-election!!!
I heard the most susceptible to serious effects from the virus are older men over the age of 50. good luck to you all.

Use your numbers, too. How many have died in the US due to the coronavirus?
As a side note, was just watching the Morning Show on CBS (not as good as The Morning Show on Apple TV with hotties Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon but I digress). Retired guy from the CDC says coronavirus could turn into an epidemic but the risk of death from coronavirus is extremely low.
Why is the MSM not telling us the risk of death is low?
And before I forget, use your numbers. How many have died in the US due to the coronavirus? Hint: It's a whole number.

That may sound like the current state of affairs with the new coronavirus. While it has killed 1,113 and infected over 44,653 in mainland China, only 13 people have fallen ill with it in the United States and there have been no deaths.
The Ebola virus killed 11,310 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone during its rampage, but it became a source of fear for Americans only after a Liberian traveler fell ill while visiting family in north Texas, Cohen Silver said.
In the end, only four people fell ill with Ebola in the United States. There was only one Ebola death on these shores, that of the first patient from Liberia, Thomas Eric Duncan.

That said, you're a pussy for a multitude of reasons.
I developed a plan and my wife and I went over it numerous times so we would not fuck it up
the Plan: Don't go to the places that are closed
