https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/sondland-asked-ukrainian-officials-during-private-white-house-talk-about-n1067861Sondland directly contradicted Bolton by telling the Ukrainians that in fact, Trump was committed to meeting with Zelenskiy on the condition he open a corruption investigation, two people told about the matter tell NBC News.
Bolton abruptly ended the meeting.
But, the individuals say, Sondland then invited the Ukrainian officials to continue the conversation separately, escorting them to a private room in the White House basement, the individuals said. That’s when Sondland was overheard discussing Burisma Holdings, whose board of directors former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden joined in 2014.
Sondland’s explicit conditioning of a meeting between Zelenskiy and Trump prompted Bolton to direct then-Trump Russia adviser Fiona Hill to report the situation to White House lawyers. Although some details about the meeting had been previously disclosed, this account provides the most extensive chronology to date of the chain of events that led Bolton to call the shadow Ukraine policy aimed at advancing Trump’s political interests “a drug deal,” as NBC News has reported.
The account also appears to undercut Sondland’s text message to a senior U.S. official in Ukraine on Sept. 9 that Trump “has been crystal clear no quid pro quo's (sic) of any kind” with the Ukrainian government.
Who had money on Bolton being the good guy???

Do you guys ever get tired of being played for suckers?
Rhetorical
Is this from the secret hearings? Are you an insider? Did Schiff tell you this when he revealed his iron clad proof of Russian collusion?
When asked about the decision to withhold aid from Ukraine, Mulvaney told reporters that President Trump told him at the time, "This is a corrupt place. Everyone knows this is a corrupt place…Plus, I'm not sure that the other European countries are helping them out either.”
Mulvaney also added, “Did he also mention me in the past that the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely. No question about that."
When questioned on Mulvaney saying that the White House held up security money from Ukraine until the president got assurances, Mulvaney told reporters to “get over it” saying there are going to be political impacts on foreign policy.
"The corruption of the country, whether or not other countries participating in support of Ukraine, and whether or not cooperating in an ongoing investigation with the department of justice. That is completely legitimate, yes"
A reporter then questioned Mulvaney on his explanation saying it sounds like a quid-pro-quo to which Mulvaney said: “We do that all the time with foreign policy.”
I'll take Trumps own words on the transcript over this.
Mulvaney is right though. I recall a vice president telling the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor or they don't get the money
Quite common really
No wonder you guys are operating in secret
"Did he also mention to me in [the] past the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely," Mulvaney said of a conversation he had with President Donald Trump. "No question about that. But that's it, and that's why we held up the money."
They lie, it's what they do it's who they are.
