Recruiting Questions?

@sonics1993
-When do you think coaching changes will be made? After signing day? After the bowl game? I'm already getting paranoid that CP won't make any changes after hearing all the firings announced across the country.
-Are we recruiting Victory Vaka? He has offers from all over the country but not from UW yet.
-With expected transfers, how many more slots do we have in this class?
-Will Bronson get another year?
-Odds of Levi, Molden, and Taylor leaving early? If all 3 come back our D has a chance to be really good next year. -
- My guess is after the bowl gameinsinceredawg said:@sonics1993

- Yes
- Up to four more if they get the right guys
- They think he will
- Right now I think all three come back but that’s just a educated guess and no decision has been made. -
How fucked are we?

Who looks elsewhere?

Pete gets to recruit put through the bowl to help establish Jimmy and the plan. This recruiting class will be fine.biak1 said:Jimmy has his work cut out for him.

I think the defensive side stays together and still signs. I would bet quite a few on the offensive side hold off on signing during the early period and we have to re-recruit them.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

the timing of Petersen stepping down is very curious given the impact it might have on the recruiting class. I get that you don't want to sign a class then quit but... signing the class and then leaving is how Ohio State, Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame and pretty much every serious program would do it.
This is a massive gamble to time it now
and I don't think the class holds together. -
I'm most worried about our offensive line commits. I doubt Jimmy has much of a relationship with them. Though despite a lot of the sentiment here, I don't think Huff's job is even close to being in jeopardy, so hopefully he can hose them all off.

They are all good friends, taking trips together and stuff like that. I think the line will be safe. I'm worried about the WRsGreenRiverGatorz said:I'm most worried about our offensive line commits. And he says.......?GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Two weeks is all he had to wait. Secure the top-20 class and announce after the bowl game. But no.. we had to fuck that up. What's the advantage of announcing this now?

I wouldn’t expect anything super material changing ... we might have a defection or two and people will for sure be calling
But the Lake hire assures that the core foundation of the program stays largely the same -
It's not like there were mass exoduses at Oklahoma and Ohio State when they went through the same process, so I'm hopeful.Tequilla said:I wouldn’t expect anything super material changing ... we might have a defection or two and people will for sure be calling

Can’t say how important it is to naming Lake immediately. No period of wondering what direction UW may go.Tequilla said:I wouldn’t expect anything super material changing ... we might have a defection or two and people will for sure be calling

Hopefully he’s working the phones and getting the potential defectors back in the fold. Can’t afford to lose anyone in this class- especially Smalls.

I think the class stays together. Might lose one or two kids we wouldn't have lost anyway.
The recruiting side should be fine. I mean honestly recruiting should improve (going forward).
It's the coaching side I'm concerned about. -
Brock and Damon aren’t stupid. They know this offense is broken. I doubt they see it as a terrible thing. Huard was coming to UW no matter what unless we were absolutely terrible.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Jimmys ready. Pete has had enough of the current state of cfb.jimmys got the energy and the charisma you want in a head coach in terms of recruiting
The unknowns are his organizational abilities and ability to navigate the political side. Betting he’s learned well from Pete on these two subjects.
