WOOOOOOO! Oregon SURGING ahead of Iowa State and Purdue for Marcus Harper! Please get him!

He looks extremely athletic. You are making way too much out his rating.

Fautanu really impressed me but the other two need development and aren’t can’t miss.

As of now these are the class rankings of schools we are talking about:

    #11 Oregon

    #54 Washington

    #60 USC

Facts about 3 star recruits in this years class

Clemson has FIVE 3 star commits

Alabama has THREE 3 star commits

LSU has FIVE 3 star commits

Raw numbers are meaningless at this point, the only thing that matters (for a school that has any decent ability to recruit anyway) are percentages.

Clemson: 4 3 stars out of 18 commits = 87.8% blue chips, overall average score of 94.56 (1st)
Bama: 3 3 stars out of 15 commits = 80% blue chips, overall average score of 93.35 (4th)
LSU: 5 3 stars out of 20 commits = 75% blue chips, overall average score of 92.47 (5th)
Oregon: 7 3 stars out of 13 commits = 46.15% blue chips, overall average score of 89.58 (19th)
Washington: 3 3 stars out of 6 commits = 50% blue chips, overall average score of 89.06 (21st)

Washington and Oregon's classes are roughly equal right now. You can argue Oregon's is better because fuller is better than emptier, but OTOH Oregon's top commit in these calculations isn't really committed to them and Washington's class is definitely trending better of late.

I'm honestly kind of surprised by how much Oregon's recruiting momentum has slowed down, I didn't expect that. Ever since the shit they pulled with Smalls it's like they can only take 3 stars. It's almost like karma's a bitch...
This is fair, but come on, it's a lot easier to shoot 50% from 3 on 2 attempts per game.
Oregon is taking a pretty small class in comparison to year's past, so quality is more important this year. It's concerning, and really no way to sugarcoat it.

To combat SAC's point about the trenches. The trenches are the most important for sure, but Washington isn't pulling in the skill guys they need. Stanford, Michigan St., Michigan, and Wisconsin load up on the trenches every year. How many national titles have they won? Better yet, how many playoffs have they made? It's 75% trenches, but if UW can't even get a guy like Smalls from their own backyard, that's a problem. You can say the kid is drama and immature, but that's pretty much every high level skill player. Pete and company's recruiting strategy is great for getting high quality trenches, but you need to "wine and dine and 69" the high level skill guys. Peterman refuses, and that will continue to hold this team back.
What skill positions is UW not recruiting well? Cameron Davis is better than Sean Dollars. Puka Nacua is better than any WR Oregon got last class. Cameron Williams and Trent McDuffie say hi. Oregon got UW leftovers at QB. UW has a great chance at landing Jalen McMillan and Rome Odunze, the top two WR's out West in this class. Sam Adams is a UW lean. Our TE recruiting is hot right now. Mark Redman is a beast with one or two more elite TE's to come.

Smalls is one guy. Not getting him does nothing to the trajectory of UW's program.

I am surprised you think every UW recruit is better.

I think moor pointedly if we? wanted a four-star running back we? would’ve taken Tirek Murphy who committed to Purdue after we took Benson or kept pushing fore Bijan Robinson who we? barely even offered. Crystalball’s running back bored clearly went Kendall Milton, maybe Sam Adams, Benson. Maybe Benson gets pushed to a four-star when every cite shakes up there ratings post-Opening. Maybe he doesn’t. Either way, he’s 200 pounds with a legitimate 4.49 40 time. Greenfield is already a four-star on 247. Pretending we?re working with final rankings hear is FS.

SAC - I saw that you liked Levi Roger on the recruiting thread. Will you think he’s doog shit if he commits to Oregon?

They brought in Trice because they were still considering a rush end. It wasn’t like Trice wasn’t a take but they weren’t going to chase him with a bird in the hand. Trice was not a must take player.

I highly doubt he get anywhere near 260. Kid is not broad in the shoulder or have sand in his pants. Ma’ae definitely has the bigger frame.

Yeah, they were considering ANOTHER rush end IF his name was BRALEN fucking TRICE because he's a talent you don't say no to. He's better than Treven Ma'ae. Ma'ae was a preemptive plan B guy like many of the 3-stars Oregon is taking this Summer. Like everybody else, Oregon would have preferred Trice over Ma'ae if they had to choose one, but strategically they needed to make sure they at least got one of the two and Ma'ae was much easier for them to get.

I don't know what kind of quook delusion you have in your mind about Trice but he's not small or skinny. He's a big dude with a big ass head and bone structure and will gain a lot of size in college.

Bralen Trice has elite bend. He’s super flexible. Once he puts it together he could be scary.

Given the milieu in the PAC 12 it will be one of us for awhile IMO.

Utah, Colorado, WSU, OSU, ASU, UA are just lacking

Cal has a new young coach and is doing better but they have a ways to go.

UCLA-Chip is a good coach but hates to recruit and it shows

USC is always a threat and will get good players but won’t be what they could be with Helton still at the helm. Oregon has made huge inroads into USC traditional territories of Mater Dei, St John Bosco, Narbonne, Norco and others.

Both UO & UO have recruiters that the other schools can’t match.

Recruiting in the 50's has been good enough to rag doll Oregon 4 years in a row.

This is quite honestly the only time I like the Cuogs. I used to root for both team planes to crash but I love this winning streak and now root for WSU once a year
For the life of Me I will never understand the h8te UW has for the Cougs. Especially the younger blokes. WSU has won one meaningful AC in the rivalry. One.

I don't hate the Cougs at all. I love them for being so much fun to watch against UW. I root for WSU in every game they play besides the Apple Cup.
