I'll do another "watch shots" one day and add more pieces from the collection. Hopefully it turns out as good as this thread. With you losers I doubt it though.

Get some Swatches off eBay. Probably 20 bucks each if they are broken. Maybe less.
They have never been super popular with the dress watch crowd, but I like them. In fact, I am planning a future installment of Watch World and plan to feature one. A really unique one form a few years ago.
I like that Rolex sometimes uses that line to show off some haute horology chops that most watch fans do not associate with them. Most people who know watches think of Rolex as an absolutely bulletproof and nicely refined tool watch. Sure they have a chrono movement, and a GMT function, but beyond that they do not have tons of sophistication - complicated movements, display casebacks with beautifully detailed movements, etc. But, Rolex has used the Cellini line to make some true stunners over the years that are more typically reserved for the "high houses" of watchmakers like Patek, Lange, Vacheron and Audemars.
That is one thing that has hurt them though (Rolex). They do tend to charge a bunch for Cellinis, and many people think, well, hey, for just a few thousand more I can get a Lange, and for 10K more, I can have a Patek. So, Cellinis are beautiful watches, and super finely crafted, but they aren't handmade, and you can get a true "hand made" luxury dress watch for 5-10K more, which has always hurt them.
This was a revelation when Rolex released it a couple of years ago:
Rolex does a moonphase. Nice watch. I think it is about 22-23K? Somewhere near there.
Finally picked this bad boy up tonight. I need to have the band adjusted. It looks good and definitely feels good (I like the weight. A watch should be heavy IMHO). The Aquis Clean Ocean Limited should be arriving on Tuesday.

Thats a great looking watch! I like the how the markers have a bit of a vintage patina on them. Like they have aged from the sun. Looks like a wonderful vintage diver, but with all the modern touches. Nice!
