Yeah I'm not confident in Carlton like I was with Latu. It actually made sense for Latu to come to UW, USC was/is a dumpster fire.
Utah is actually good, they develop defensive players, and he has ties to the University. We have some advantages, but if I was a Utah fan I would be rationally upset if Carlton went to UW.

well....Utah is graduating their whole team and right now has the worst recruiting class in the Pac-12. I would look at the long term aspect. This yeah was Utah's shot and they blew it. I see them going back to the the dumpster next year

This. It was Whittinghams 16 year plan to lose the title game. They are done.

Sure you would, you’re a UW fan. From Carltons perspective his parents have probably told him most of his life how underappreciated Utah is and how they are building towards something special. I’m sure that attitude in Utah is “they just picked the wrong week to come out flat” much moreso than “they just got exposed”.
Utah is definitely in the drivers seat here.
UW has a five star publicly recruiting him though, that’s one thing Utah can’t provide.
If I had to put in a CB right now I’d go Utah but it ain’t over yet. If he makes that visit we have a real shot.
Xavier and his family are coming up. That’s a good sign. I know his parents are alumni but when talking about your child your allegiance is going to be to your child. I think Utah is the sentimental choice but UW is the logical choice.
If there’s one thing that has been a perennial letdown it’s the Utah offense. If Utah’s offense is just a few players stronger they’re potentially in the Playoffs. Carleton is a defensive player but visibility is key. I think our UW offensive talent is potentially very good. Our Defense is going to be very good. The UW is going to be in the limelight for the next few years with competitive teams.
