Yeah I'm not confident in Carlton like I was with Latu. It actually made sense for Latu to come to UW, USC was/is a dumpster fire.
Utah is actually good, they develop defensive players, and he has ties to the University. We have some advantages, but if I was a Utah fan I would be rationally upset if Carlton went to UW.
well....Utah is graduating their whole team and right now has the worst recruiting class in the Pac-12. I would look at the long term aspect. This yeah was Utah's shot and they blew it. I see them going back to the the dumpster next year
They picked up a grad transfer QB from South Carolina, but other than that it’ll be a huge step back for them next year. Majority of their defense is gone, Moss and and Huntley are gone. Their O-Line was a dumpster fire against Oregon.
Of all the tough road games UW has to play in 2020, Utah doesn’t scare me as much as USC/Oregon/Cal

Utah will keep being tough and competitive and keep fielding defenses better than most of the league. They've already shown they dont need high end recruiting to do that.
Their 10 year plan, which was never guaranteed to work but almost did, was to develop a QB who could put the offense on his back in key moments. Huntley finally reached that stage. Unfortunately for them he's finally dying of old age. It's gonna take a while, like 10ish years, before they manage it again.

They are solid and will continue to be. Every now and then they will go 6-6 or 10-2. Most years 8-4. A tough game, especially on the road but nothing special.
If he canceled his trip, then we weren't nearly as close to getting him as some people thought. Best case scenario at this point would be for him to not sign next week.

Props on the DDY Santa in the background
Hmmmm. Seems Clay hasn’t let go of Clancy Pendergast yet.
Now ask yourself why?
This time the cardboard cutout is Carlton... same fucking clothes and look in every picture.
