Washington offered Franklin in the summer when he took an unofficial visit to Seattle and camped with the Huskies.
Two of his teammates, Noa Ngalu and Daniel Heimuli, signed with the Huskies and he saw them both plus some familiar faces from when he played 7v7 with FSP.
"The visit to Washington was great," said Franklin. "I felt comfortable with Daniel and Noa being there, I know they'd have my back. Doing the camp, it was my first time being in the city of Seattle, having a tour, knowing information about the city and what I could possibly be."
He also raved about the time with the Husky coaches.
"Meeting with Coach Pete (Chris Petersen), it was good," said Franklin. "We had a meeting, we had a talk on my unofficial, where we talked and he broke down everything to my mom with his program. He told me about my game, what he thinks I can do for the program. And Coach (Junior) Adams, he’s great. He’s very detailed with his work and a real teacher. I talk to those guys pretty often. I'm also cool with Sam Huard, Jalen McMillan from playing 7v7 with them."
