Doesn’t look good for curry’s ankle there. Probably won’t be playing here tomorrow.

Blazers up by 9 at half over the Dubs. If you don’t think this is must see TV you’re a huge faggot.

I’m happy for you Hairball. Hair = Haie.
If the front office wasn’t so stupid and spent outrageous money on Turner, Crabbe, and Leonard you might be able to get the player that could get you over the top. The Blazers spent stupid money because they could.
If you had money, maybe you sign George or Cousins and win the off season natty. -
At least with Crabbe there was enough potential to get rid of him. Myers is main guy left that is anchoring the cap at this point.RoadDawg55 said:I’m happy for you Hairball. Hair = Haie.

I'm starting to come around on Turner. Is he overpaid relative to his role? Fuck yes he is. But look at Portland's other skills guys: dame, cj, shabazz, all small scorers. You need a guy with his length that expends his energy on the defensive side of the ball. Durant went off last night which is expected, but I feel good about putting Turner on the other team's best player. He played phenomenal against Paul George last weekend. Don't love the contract, but I understand Olshey's thinking on that.
Some guys are starting to pan out which is elevating the team: Ed Davis was getting rebounds against 2-3 guys, including Draymond. His passing was outstanding. Aminu's 3 pt percentage is where you need it to be.
Yeah, I don't know what you do in the offseason. You hope someone notices the foundation that is there and wants to come up to dark ass Portland and settle on hipster brew pubs and a playoff run. GM Bro needs to earn his paycheck this summer or gtfo. -
Turner isn’t a bad player at all. He couldn’t come close to that contract now though. That offseason was crazy.haie said:

Developing through the draft and adding difference makers is how a team gets great. That’s how all the dynasties did it.
Houston is somewhat of a threat this year, but Golden State has three home grown stars and Durant. Even if Houston wins this year (they won’t), Golden State is built to last.
The problem with the Blazers is that they can’t add George, Cousins, Anthony Davis, etc to pair with the backcourt.
Your #1 picks have little value because you’re a playoff team. Aminu, Nurcic, Turner, etc are useful players, but you need stars to win.

You have to get lucky as well. Draymond Green was a second round pick. Nobody thought he would be a great as he is.RoadDawg55 said:

The Blazers will still be stuck with Turner and Leonards contract going into next year. They will also lose Napier in the offseason as they won't be able to pay him. Also Nurk will be a RFA in the offseason as well, that will be offered $15MM per year by someone else. Doubt they will be able to afford him either without unloading Turners and/or Leonards contracts.

This winning streak is almost solely related to Damian Lillard's play in the 4th quarter, which is as good as you will find in recent years. CJ's as well. Their defense has been better this year as well. They also have not faced any of the good teams at full strength either during this streak. That's not their fault but it's a fact all the same.haie said:

The fact remains is that Portland will have to beat either Houston, Golden State, New Orleans, SanAntonio or Minnesota 4/7 games to get to the WCF. The odds of that are still about 20 %. And the odds of getting out of the 1st rd are now about 50/50. Getting out of the 1st round is a successful year for this group. Anything moar is big time overachieving. -
It’s a better roster than it looks. 2nd in the league in defense since the all star break break when there are tons of teams making a push, is not just Dame. Lots of good 3 pt shooters too, in a league that demands itsalemcoog said:

It’s exactly why they’ll have to make some tough decisions paying people.
Turner is overpaid, but they’re getting some good deals on other guys, including Collins on a rookie deal.
Myers is the one black eye. We’ll see, some desperate franchise could always try to give him a change of scenery. It’s not like he’s broken physically. The bigger problem has been any potential 2nd, 3rd star just doesn’t want to play in Portland unless there’s an enticing roster here. -

The best part of this sad, underwhelming off-season is the anticipation of watching @haie either beat his chest over the blazers or be forever shamed and sent to the gulag.
-
Just fucking dismantling Lebron right now. Jesus.
-
-
Game day bitches. Winning streak at eleven. Pistons come to town with an exiled Blake Griffin.
-
Myers getting minutes early so it’s clear the blazers really respect Detroit.
-
CJ McCollum is the most underrated player in the league.
-
Davis is fucking abusing Drummond.

Strong agree.haie said:CJ McCollum is the most underrated player in the league.

Watch Tierbs and "Teq" flag all these poasts because they secretly hate winners and their 12 game winning streaks...

What is the point of watching the Blazers when they have a less than zero chance at winning the title? This entire thread is pointless.

I don’t disagree, but then again I’m not the one saying it’s worthless to watch when your team has no shot at the title.haie said:ntxduck said:
