It's just the Blazers, it's not REAL life, like Seahawks.

Blazers actually have a legit shot at the 3 seed with Kawhi and Jimmy Minutes done for the year...And a really favorable schedule with lots of home games.

Of course, I'm fully expecting them to choke it in dramatic fashion.

Let's review who the Blazers can beat in a 7 game series.

    GS- Nope
    Hou- Nope
    SA- Nope
    Minn- Maybe w/no Butler
    OKC- Nope
    Denver- Probably
    LAC- Probably
Utah- doesn't get in but NOPE
    NO- Maybe

So Portland has about a 40% chance of getting out of the 1st rd and near 0% of getting to the WCF.

    W over the Thunder tonight.

Blazers haven’t lost since they beat GS right before the all star break. Collins was excellent tonight.

I want to get excited about this win streak, but the reality of the road ahead makes it pointless. This year is a fight to see who gets to go the longest before losing to the Rockets or Warriors.

They are right on the luxury line and Nurk, Ed, Bazz, and PCon are all due a pay raise.

They will have no trade flexibility next year as Moe, Meyers, and ET won't be expiring until the season after that which puts Dame at 30 when they can finally clear cap space that they won't be able to use because no one wants to play in Portland. Aminu will be due starter money at the end of the 2019 season also.

They will keep winning just enough to have a mediocre draft position as well.

Neil Olshey fucked up two years ago and when you fuck up in the NBA your next eight years are shit unless Lebron James happens to be from your city and is homesick.

They're a decent team. Lillard is on a roll like no other over the last 10 games. Most games they are down in the 4th quarter and Lillard saves their ass.

In the playoffs, other teams can scheme to hold him down and He historically isn't good in the playoffs anyway despite the one shot against Hou to send them home.

I still give them the same odds as I did before of doing anything in the playoffs.

Play off upsets are very rare because 4 out of 7 identifies the best team most of the time. Well over 81% of the time

You need a head case team like the old Sonics in the 90's to blow it to a lesser team. Atlanta and teams like that in the early rounds

The Cavs in in the Finals was a shocking as any Finals in years if not decades. The Pistons beating the Lakers 4-1 was a pretty big upset as well

I do see drama in the two conference finals this year at least

The Cavs in 2007? None of the recent years have been a surprise.

I was referring to winning the Finals. Beating the 73 win Warriors coming back from 3-1 was a surprise

I still remember that Pistons-Lakers finals. What was so surprising wasn't just that they won, but dominated the entire series. The Lakers won game 2 with some Kobe heroics. Other than that, the other 4 games were solid victories by the Pistons.
