This is not a great comparison.
No knock on Gaines, love that dude ... but ...
Bandes
- competed at the highest level and MVP'd at the Opening Finals. That's very significant. He is no stretch of the imagination.
- is a natural 300 pounder with alot of development and refinement ahead of him.
- Gaines was something like 273 in HS
- remember that saying that a good big man will better a good little man? Well, in this case it's more like a good big man will better a good biggish man.
plus, the scenario is way more exciting than before.
