Although USCās offensive line recruiting has been nothing but two-or-three star prospects, the Trojansā ace in the hole was Mater Dei four-star offensive lineman Myles Murao.
Just go back and look at how the USC recruiting sites fawned over Murao the past two years and did the wink-and-nod routine to signal Murao would be a future Trojan.
Not anymore. Murao committed to Washington tonight.
Not even the USC homer pundits can spin this as a good development. Murao is ranked the No. 1 center in the nation by Rivals.
Someone will now say Murao got scared off by USCās current centers, which is laughable. Murao can also play guard.
In the past 10 days, USC has lost four-star offensive linemen from Southern California to Michigan (Jeffrey Persi), Stanford (Drake Metcalf) and Washington (Murao).
Does anyone still think recruits are impressed with USC offensive line coach Tim Drevno?
Letās face it: The only way to get these recruits to USC is to have a new coach come in and recruit them.

I really don't care about the rest of the Pac-12 sucking, fuck them. Conference image is overrated, are we suddenly going to get a ton of respect if we're the consensus 3rd best conference?
If we deserve to make the playoff, we'll make the playoff. The ACC was a dumpster fire last year and Clemson did just fine. -

@backthepack, Hillbers didnāt play against Cal. Roberts was the LT in that game. I donāt think Hilbers is great, but he held up against Auburn and was mostly solid. Iām not reading much into the Spring Game.
We have 4 returning starters this season. Five if you count Hilbers. The OL should be improved, and if itās not, itās a problem.
OL is a tough position to evaluate high school prospects. Itās easy to see if the guy has the size and strength, but itās a mentally taxing position. If you canāt pick up blitzes and stunts, youāre going to look bad.
It is premature to say the OL class from last year is overrated. My only point was that I donāt like Buelow or Kalepo as much as most of the board. The board is for opinions. I would love to be wrong, but I donāt see them being championship caliber players.
