I look forward to the Ballz logic that explains how we didn't actually lose him to Oregon despite all evidence pointing to him cooling on us.

You rang? All the evidence points to UW cooling on him. Everybody knows that at this point. He was initially crystal balled to UW by the West coast national experts because of HIS high interest in UW. But then he was never invited to visit UW in the Spring or Summer. When interviewed and asked about his top schools a month ago he still mentioned UW as one of his favorite schools but mentioned Coach Adams wanting to see him play with more of an edge his Senior season. Clearly he didn't have a committable offer from UW and we had others guys prioritized over him who had the green light to commit when he didn't. Sawyer, Jalen, and Rome are all better WR prospects.
You had me until your final sentence. Well, maybe your last two sentences...
Sawyer is faster on film and can take a short pass to the house. Wilson can't. Sawyer is quicker in and out of breaks. Sawyer also plays LB so he's more physical and tuff than Wilson. The other two guys are obviously better than him. I don't need to make a case for them.

Except for Junior Adams literally telling him he needs to quit being such a pussy on the field
Is a coach giving pointers to a recruit now evidence of cooling? We only know Junior said that because Wilson acknowledged it. I would think that kind of shit is pretty common.
Uh yeah, if the kid hasn't been invited to visit and is being told he needs to do something on the field his Senior season that means he doesn't have a committable offer. Take the L man. You were wrong.

Whether or not we actually cooled on him, lol @ 'he wasn't invited to visit'. Sorry Johnny we just don't know if we can let you spend your money to come visit our school!

He would have visited had he been invited. You don't invite kids for a visit and give them the false impression that you want them to commit when he's lower on the board than your top targets. UW is getting their top targets at WR. That's all that matters. We'll see if they made a mistake putting this kid on the back burner a couple years from now but I really don't think they did.

Guess UW isn't the only school that has their commits drop.

According to Ruth we stopped recruiting him. She says he was more of a Lubick guy than an Adams guy

I don't know shit but this is logical. Adams got here, surveyed the class, and reshuffled the big board. Happens all the time with coaching changes. Wilson is a good WR, but obviously Adams has him lower than the others. Adams is killing it with early returns, so I'll trust him, for now.
I think people here act like there is more separation between these recruits though. There is a lot more 1a, 1b, 1c, etc going on and staffs use their resources where they think they have the best shot.

The idea that they told him not to unofficially visit is ridiculous. The idea that they like Rome better is not.

    It’s not that complicated.

Hey doogs like to doog. I liked Wilson, but pretty happy with the current uw class they way it is shaping out. But would have gladly taken Wilson

UW was Wilson's favorite from the beginning. But Rome Odunze was the only WR invited to unofficially visit during the Spring. UW had two big recruiting weekends in June for mostly official visits and didn't invite Wilson to either of those either. Obviously he wanted to visit but was on the back burner. Junior Adams doesn't think much of him and thinks he's soft. It's not that complicated. And coaches don't need to directly tell kids not to unofficially visit you moron. They either invite them or they don't.

The thought of a 6’6 dude with skills excites me just like the thought of a burner with Ross speed (tre’shaun) excites me.

But what do I know. I’m just a stupid redneck.

I'm sorry, but we're going to need to get a ruling from our resident expert on whether you qualify as a redneck. Ballzz, can you provide us with your professional opinion?

And then you tout the true frosh QB who had an insane first year who needs new WR because his two top targets are graduating and going pro.

Herm is astonishingly competent as a head coach and I can’t get over that

Does Petersen follow in Herm's footsteps and adopt the CEO model?

I’d pump the breaks on Daniels insane first year. He had good moments like against the ducks and after his team was already getting blown out by UCLA, but there was a whooooole lot of awfulness in there as well.
