ND wants him, but UW is obsessed with him.
And since UW fans are calling stuff “spam,” a lot of info being posted on here is just fiat out wrong. But it’s funny watching people lose their poop over a kid.
Even funnier watching Petersen & Lake embarrassing themselves nationally.
And Ruth Robbins & other UW “reporters” blocking other reporters for posting facts on their Twitter pages.
Most ND fans aren’t really concerned where he goes. Much more concerned about Fosket. They are just enjoying the UW national meltdown....
Firstly there is Husky passion (sometimes misplaced, but still).
And Foskey isn’t as valuable as Turner. Maybe in Hudl you watch but in a full game you’d know why we care more about Turner than Foskey -

So first you speak for “people all over the world” about UW’s medical school. Now you are apparently an authority on public opinion across the United States by your assertion that this is apparently a “national punchline:”
Your need to create imaginary broad support for your positions (along with the fact that you spend so much time here) only confirms our suspicions that you live a very lonely and sad existence. -
I've been too busy to follow this as closely as I'd normally do, but I'll say this ...AF9705 said:It’s now become a national punchline how butthurt UW’s coaches & fans are over all of this. LOL

If I was Pete/Lake, you hold the spot for him through the early Signing Day period because that was the commitment that you made when you took the verbal and the commitment that Asa made when he made the verbal was that he'd sign during the early Singing Day period ...
Now that that period is here/gone, if you are in the shoes of Pete/Lake you have to move forward with the assumption that Turner isn't going to go to UW ... you can continue to recruit him and whatnot (and I'm sure that they will) but his spot is no longer guaranteed and how could it be? Who is to say 2 months from now we're still not in this tug of war back and forth?
I guess the question for you would be what should the reaction of Pete/Lake be? To me, it's kind of at the situation where it's time to shit or get off the pot. There was seemingly conflict in Turner's mind well before Signing Day and it will be likely through January. While I'm sure he's conflicted one way or the other for a number of things, he's struggling to make up his mind and from the outside it almost seems like he's kicking the can down the road to not having to make a decision and have the decision just come to him.
Who knows what options are available for UW between now and February ... there may not be numbers out there that they want to take and they are prepared going with either Turner or nothing out of this. It could be where they view a backup plan being comparable enough to Turner that they would take a solid verbal from that individual and exit this drama. There's just way too much drama tied into this for my taste. -
fuck it, not gonna feed the trolls

“Most ND fans aren’t really concerned where he goes. Much more concerned about Fosket. They are just enjoying the UW national meltdown....”
That must explain why there is nine (9!!!!!) separate threads on the first fucking page of the ND 247 football forum.
Lol shut the fuck up, dummy. -
I just called 10 random numbers. Not a single person new Asa turner. When I mentioned he would be joining Notre Dame 9 we're confused and 1 asked if he was the new bishop. Definitely not a national punchline and no one knows what Notre Dame is.
-
In all seriousness now...
It has been confirmed Asa did not sign with anybody last night.
He will be signing on NSD.
Side note: he will “probably” visit both schools again before NSD.
And other schools will probably contact him to try to get a visit.
-
If true, I can respect thatAF9705 said:In all seriousness now...

He’s taking his talents to join the Cali-Flock on NSD, per sources.

That is what the people from ND were told by him/his family.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Personally, I would love to see commitments from Heimuli, Tootoo, Ford and Martinez, and Turner aced out due to lack of room.
-
My favorite part about this thread is now when @AF9705 offers baseless accusations that he considers fact. A few people on the ND board think it’s funny UW fans are annoyed a kid who was publicly committed for six months doesn’t sign with them and then all of a sudden that somehow becomes a “national” meltdown.insinceredawg said:

Makes sense coming from a graduate of the school who is the academic public face of an institution whose most noteworthy news story of the last 50 years has been the systematic cover up and protection of pedophiles and abusers. How about that for nationally embarrassing... -

Some of you are too rigid about recruiting. What happened in their recruitment doesn’t matter one bit once they step on campus.... Except with Kaho. -

Maybe you'll find some idiots at Doogman that would say that about UW but not over here aside from Ballz. Maybe the medical programs if @neurosurgeondawg shows up.
That type of shit just pegs them as the buttfucking yocals that they are to think that their school is relevant outside of the midwest or college football.
Harvard, Stanford, MIT, the Wharton School of business, etc. Those are "World Class" and "Global Gateways".
The differential between a ND and a UW undergrad degree is pretty negligible and both are mainly relevant in their spheres of regional influence. UW's happens to be on the West Coast where this kid lives so the "sales" pitch of a ND degree being superior is pretty laughable.AF9705 said:

Nah, UW is considered better than Notre Dame for computer science and such, maybe some med school stuff
not that any of that would matter to a football player, especially one with NFL potential like Asa. Jimmy has the better record of putting players into the NFL so he should go to UW.
Please show me where I said that?
I said not known.
Worldwide people don’t discuss UW medical school.
No one outside the US even knows ND exists.
Everyone in the world knows Harvard, Wharton, Ivy League etc.
Keep putting on airs that you're in that category and not tier 2-3 instead.
Jesus fucking Christ. Are you serious?
Notre Dame is an undergrad teaching Uni. It's like a bigger Williams or something. You can't fucking compare it to a school like, say, Yale at all.
Seriously ND is competitive for undergrad admissions. That's it. JFC. What is wrong with these people?
Washington board discussing ND but says no one cares about ND? LOL
Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, Australia. All places with ND networking.
Keep discussing ND & pretend nobody cares.
It’s like foreign countries always discussing the US & saying nobody cares.... the entire works cares. -
Its especially funny when posters who supposedly hate following recruiting freak out over something like this.RoadDawg55 said:

“I see this as the kid has decommitted and it’s he is down to UW and ND and will announce for ND on LOI day in Feb. As time passes it will be all new and fresh in February and he can pick a hat. The kid is a beast but I want the kid that would chew through barbed wire to get to UW.”
I personally don’t want any recruits that chew on barbed wire. That doesn’t seem wise. -
I’m hearing while on his visit that Asa grabbed some water out of a cooler that wasn’t plugged in so it was room temperature. Probably a key factor in ND out recruiting us.

Let's not bring BYU into this. They are much more international then Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a college that happens to be catholic. BYU is the official school of The LDS church. With International campuses in Hawaii and Idaho. So yes literally every mormon in the world knows about it.UW_Doog_Bot said:

I think you're missing my point. I would love to have Turner. I would just love to have the above four players more. I think we are already in a very decent place going forward with safeties and think the magic number this year is 24. If you get those four which I admit is a bit of a longshot then I'm not sure there is room for Asa. I certainly would rather get Heimuli, Henry and Ford. I guess you could call it a bit of a tossup between Asa and Martinez if it came down to the last scholie.RoadDawg55 said:

What is the probability that this kid, after being committed for so long, doesn't sign in the early period because he has second thoughts and then in the end signs with UW?
Waste of time. He's a Domer POS.
We should all be partying in the blazers thread. -
