He scored 34 touchdowns in 8 games... he's gonna break all kinds of Oregon records when he graduates.

Relevant.
Can't believe my twatter stalkers missed this one.

Less chinteresting, but still chinteresting

I'm done after this one. Only reason I find this stuff so encouraging is that I was nervous he was a kid who would flip back to Oregon before signing day. After seeing all this, I think he's ours for keeps.

I question his speed. I mean, I could run 358 yards in *way* less than 30 minutes.
This ain't the WAC, Petersen! -

Seems like a great hire then considering all the OL are coming from Oregon. Kirkland agreesdnc said:

Do we have anyone on this bored who works for immigration and can check his status?HuskyJW said:Hopefully Nansen doesn't recruit him.

Very Gaskinesque. If you think this kid is a receiver you know nothing (Jim Cramer voice). Especially given the bump crop of WR this year. I have a feeling Oregon fans are going to begin to hate Matt Lubick, especially given the rare year that state has more talent than Washington.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love the idea of Trey Lowe as Washington's running back almost as I hate the idea of Trey Lowe as Oregon's running back. IMO, Peterman isn't FS enough to do so that.

Fair enough, I'll TL;DR.
This is Trey Lowe.

This is Keanon Lowe in high school. Chip Kelly told him if he wanted to come to Oregon, he wasn't a running back because he wasn't big or fast enough.
In link form, because linking to MaxPreps is dumb.
Because of all the stat drooling, this is Thomas Tyner going Al Bundy times 2.5. A legit Pac-12 guy is going to do that against guys who'll be pumping gas in six months.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k67qara0nbI
Gaskin is at 195, and was about ten pounds heavier than Trey Lowe in high school. Keanon Lowe ended up at 185 his senior year. He was the same size in high school as Trey. The running back in Oregon's class after Keanon played at about 180. He stuck at running back for about three years until injuries made him a slot guy. Never had more than 100 carries in a season, or more than 18 in one game even though he was the starting RB at one time. A guy by the name of DAT. No matter how elusive you are at the Pac-12 level, guys are going to hit you eventually.
I like Trey Lowe, and won't give the Quookish WDWHA line being bandied about eDuck. But if he's a Pac-12 running back, his size makes him about a 75-carry-per-year running back who plays mostly passing downs. Oregon has two of those guys for 2018. They need a guy who can compete with Verdell to replace Royce Freeman. A smart coach makes Trey Lowe a slot gut though and minimizes the number of hits he takes. -
Lowe is a junior in high school ... he almost certainly will redshirt ... that means he likely won't meaningfully see a football field for UW until Sept 2019 and even then he is likely a backup to Ahmed at best ...
My point being we don't know in 2-3 year time what he will look like and if he can play RB or eventually moves to either receiving RB or slot ... anything more than that at this point is assuming too much
-
That would be awkward if Thomas Tyner is working at the same gas station as those guys.IPukeOregonGrellow said:Fair enough, I'll TL;DR.

I think Tyner probably fits in pretty well at the gas station. -
I really hate people that needlessly hunt animals. In any half decent dictatorship it would be grounds for castration and ostracization.IPukeOregonGrellow said:

TBSing is the dark art of taking educated guesses. It's a pretty safe guess that a 5'9" 175 lb (which probably means 5'8" 160 lb) high school kid is going to need some serious roids to end up PAC-12 running back size.Tequilla said:Lowe is a junior in high school ... he almost certainly will redshirt ... that means he likely won't meaningfully see a football field for UW until Sept 2019 and even then he is likely a backup to Ahmed at best ...

We don't know where he'll end up in terms of both height and weight ...
It's probably a wise idea for our staff to be flexible with him in the thought that while maybe we want him to be a RB it's very possible that he could end up as a slot WR ...
But what is likely true is that we'll have time to figure out where he fits ... and he's not going to be brought in with the expectation of anything other than developing, improving, and producing when eventually given the opportunity. That's a positive for a program.
