Damn Scout has Ale rated as a 2-star. All that Doog shit I was saying before only extends as low as 3-stars. Really hope they will still take Murray if he wants in.
the way fucking matt james is fucking playing. We will take murray any day.

He's a 3-star (#51 OT). His little banner thing in the doogman article is wrong.

Coach Pete truly doesn't care about stars at all. Some project their own perceptions of recruits onto him and are simply wrong. At this point, Pete thinks every recruit that he takes is an elite talent. From top to bottom he perceives every current commit as one of the best in the nation at their position. I don't think that was always the case for every recruit in previous classes but that's the case now. From this class on out, UW will only be taking players that they think are elite (what we would consider 4 or 5 star) recruits and Steven Jones ain't one of them.
So when Oregon likely finishes ahead of UW in class rankings because they are taking a million guys and their fans talk shit about UW recruiting and how Taggart is going to bring Oregon back to dominating UW; I'll laugh my ass off knowing that UW doesn't recruit any "3-star" talents anymore. Even if they take a "3-star" White TE, that motherfucker will be an elite blocker and end up on an NFL roster. UW's player evaluations and development are second to none. Doog it up Baby! Welcome to the next Golden Era of Washington football!

I'm a little worried that this oline class is so heavy on developmental players. All have great upside, but all have a lot to work on before they can see the field. We probably have no shot at Murray now but I would love to have him to add someone with a high floor to this class.
Good shit by Huff though in his first year. Fairly weak west coast oline class with only Ale instate, and he got everyone committed by the beginning of training camp. We didn't get any of the super elite guys, but we also didn't get caught with our pants down by signing day.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this class. If Mele listens to Socha he's gonna be a fucking monster. If Curne listens to the nutritionist and improves his technique he'll fuck people up. And if Ale figures out what sport he's playing he should be ok I guess.
Huff did a good job this year. All 3 of these guys will probably need 2 years of development, but each one of them could be a 3 year starter. These guys would probably start their first year at WSU, Oregon State, Colorado, or Ari. Ale will have a very good senior year at DT.
The next commits will be: Tremblay/Cravens Chris Brown Gordon Dr OJ
Then UW can sit on their final 2 spots during the season and wait for guys like Kelly to get fired from ND, the Tamu guy etc., then rescue some recruits from them.
One has to wonder how long Pete has known that Ale would commit and how that may have affected the recent commitments of Craig and Jones. The TBS experts have hinted that this has been in queue for awhile.

Please tell me he's not playing D....

edit: Yes, I had to edit a ten word sentence. FML.
Darnold did that every game last year. Psalm looked like an idiot, but he made those sacks against every other team
That scramble right there is the difference between 1-2 Max Browne USC and 9-1 Darnold USC...with the one loss in Darnolds first game.
