    Baseman made the case for hiring Helfrich as the OC at UW to replace Donovan.

    Helfrich has never been successful anywhere.

    Chip was the HC/OC/play caller at Oregon during Helfrich’s tenure as OC. Helfrich’s claim to fame was discovering Marcus Mariota at an Oregon camp the summer after his junior year (before he was the starting QB at his Honolulu high school).

    After being fired by Oregon, he was hired as OC by the Chicago Bears. He was not allowed to call the plays and was fired after a year or two.
