We always lose to terrorists

I still need to buy a new driver. My 5 iron ain’t cutting it.
-
Watched Under Paris on Netflix.
The Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 34% is far too generous. This is the dumbest shark movie since the last one in the Jaws franchise. -
Good Boy, Run Lola Run, and Chopper.
If ya'll haven't seen Chopper, it's available on Prime now. One of my all-time faves, had to watch it again. Australian, very Tarantino-esque, extremely quotable. I unleash a Chopper quote a few times a week. Many haven't heard of it. Can't recommend it enough. Eric Bana was SNUBBED. Legendary performance. -
Watched Aqua Man 2 on a plane today. Entertaining super hero movie.
-
Monkey Man. Enjoyed it more than the John Wick movies.
-
Brats. A documentary by Andrew McCarthy on the Brat Pack. While some of them hated it, the amount of pussy Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy were getting probably made it worth it. Demi Moore seemed the most well adjusted, but she has a zillion dollars. Judd Nelson is kind of in the where is he now file.
Rock and Roll High School. I had seen bits and pieces of this back in the early 80’s but I sat and watched it in full. Seeing and hearing the Ramones was great.
I also powered through a rewatch of Severance on Apple TV
-
watched The Portable Door - wizards, goblins, weird all around, made by Henson Family after the head guy died. OK movie for a fantasy - no tits, ass or anything like that, kind of a family flick
-
Over the last 10 days or so, I started and shut off Footloose after about 10-15 minutes. It was fucking terrible.
Moved on to Out of Africa. As we started watching, I told Mrs Nacho that I felt like I was old enough to enjoy the movie because it looked boring as hell when I was 10 when it came out.
Last night we doubled up with Brewsters Millions and Bull Durham. Had a little minor league baseball theme happening.
Bull Durham was in the same category as Out of Africa - I watched it on my teens and thought it was boring. I think I paid to rent the video and didn’t even finish watching. Susan Sarandon was muy caliente. Same for Costner.Brewsters Millions was even better than I remembered it.
-
Bull Durham is pretty damn good. Both Costner (Crash) and Robbins (Nuke) have some funny moments. My favorite is when Crash tells the bat boy to shut up. That and when he tells Nuke, laughing, "he really hit the shit out of that one."
-
It dawned on me after reading your comment that might be a parody of the Natural when the batboy is encouraging Roy Hobbs.

dune 2

Hype. A decent flick about the grunge scene. Never had seen it, but was at a lot of the shows they played.
Enormous. A documentary in the Gorge at George and how it got started having concerts there.
-
Started the new game of thrones prequel second season. There are tits, and dongs. You've been warned.
Also Netflix 'Worst Roommate Ever' is pretty interesting. Its mostly a true crime docuseries, with each episode covering a different story. If you were an Americas Most Wanted or Unsolved Mysteries fan it would be kind of up your alley.
-
House of Dragons or whatever it's called is off to a solid start in season 2. I always thought Alicent would be a naughty one once the old man was gone. She is and I like it.
-
They do a pretty good job of flipping the script on who you think the crazy one will be. I'm looking forward to some dragon on dragon carnage. Someone important dies the next episode, I'm fairly certain of it.
-
watched Hannibal last night, better the second time around - paid attention to detail. over the past month have watched Red Dragon, the original version also but forgot the name, and Silence of the Lambs. Lecter is one sick dude but so are others in these movies. Oldham plays the rich sicko really well.
Only one left in the series to watch again.
-
The movie you're thinking of is called Manhunter. I think it's better than Red Dragon.
-
I want to see Manhunter.
If Michael Mann dies before he finishes Heat 2, that would be horrible.
-
Watched American Graffiti last night. Had never seen it before.
-
The fuck?
I love AG but I know a lot of people who don't. Great soundtrack.
-
Just a movie that came out a year after I was born and never interested me enough to find it and watch it.
-
People forget AG begat Ralph and Potsie.
Just had this discussion of movies my 30 year old daughter had never seen. Animal House, Airplane, Caddyshack, The Godfather…Parent fail
-
I saw AG as a teenager and lost interest quickly. Not rated R enough for me at the time. I should give it another try now that T&A content isn't 99% of how I evaluate a movie.
-
It also starts out slow
-
AG ha Chrissy from Threes Company and Shirley from Laverne and Shirley and of course Opie who would star in Happy Days. And Richard Dryfuss who was huge in stuff like Jaws
All star cast. Not to forget Hans Solo
-
Don't forget the accountant from Untouchables.
-
The Accountant with Ben Affleck. Some of the plot was kind of silly but I forgot how much I liked the premise as a whole. Plus that geeky looking girl does it for me.
