Do you still think Pete is the right guy for the job?

YesWin 10+ or GTFO.
Well even if he wins 10+ it still depends on how we win/lose. If every win is pretty close and we get blown out by both Oregon/Stanford than GTFO. -
NoIt's hard.

Yes
Your an idiot. WGAF who they win or lose to. Are you suggesting that beating Oregon/Stanford would be better than losing to Arizona/WSU? 10 wins would be huge, and who those wins come against, IDGAF.HuskiesADW said:Win 10+ or GTFO.

No10 wins with this schedule, assuming one is the NOGAF Bowl, is not that impressive. That means you swept your shitty non-conference schedule and went 6-3 in one of the worst major conferences in the nation, likely with all three losses coming to actual contenders. It would be incremental progress and enough to buy him year 4, but I wouldn't be impressed or satisfied with that.

NoPete could go 7-6 this year and the fan base (the typical doog) would still be excited for next year.
"Last year was disappointing, but we had some injuries and bad luck. We would have beat Oregon if Van Winkle made two FG's. Browning and Gaskin are back. We have hot shot freshmen WR's, the OL is more experienced. This is still a young team.
Most of the defense is back. Thankfully, Sidney Jones was injured so he came back for his senior year. Recruiting is better than ever. This is the year we break out."
Lather, rinse, repeat. Can anyone tell this thread is upsetting me? -

This is Husky Football. We hire shit AD'a who were part of the problem. The majority of the fan base thought Sark was a very good coach. We win sustainability awards.
It's a shit program that has a nice stadium and was relevant 30 years ago. In the 30 years since, how many conference titles has UW been in contention going into the last two weeks of the season? Maybe 3?
I was in denial until Pete's first year. He was so bad that season that it ruined Husky Football for me. Sark was gone and we actually got worse. That preseason was the last time I'll ever doog it up until we win a championship.
I've given up on the program until they win. Give us a fucking championship or get the fuck out. I'm over the mediocrity. -

NoTequila should just admit that deep down he knows that Husky football sucks. That's why he follows TCU so intently.

NoI'd be satisfied with 10 wins no matter how we earned them. It would finally show us breaking out in some measurable way that isn't based on arcane statistics. I just want to win. It's all I have wanted for over 15 years. If it wasn't for the degenerates on this bored I would have tuned out years ago. Then Jen Cohen hire damn near made me lose it and tune out anyway. I do pretty much think it's over. Officially. FML.

And if he goes 7-6 or 8-5 this year proving to be another Koetter, we're stuck with him until he completely shits the bed or he realizes he has enough money in the bank to do whatever it is he wants to do.RaceBannon said:

I used to dismiss this as a doog excuse, but we have an unproven, most likely shitty AD, a budget deficit, and a program that has been irrelevant for a long time.LoneStarDawg said:but who would we get that's any better?
I don't think good coaches would line up for this job.
The reason you don't fall in love with a mediocre coach like Sark or like Petermen appears to be is the more times you fire the more times you get to hire and get it right. There are not tons of great coaches. Being forced to look for the next one is better than hiring a Ty or even Petermen if he turns out to be like the other Boise losers.
You're right about our program. It won't stop us from getting lucky but it could stop us from keeping a coach worth keeping -
Yes
It's up to 33 now and I'm 1 of them. This year is the prove it year but as mentioned, he comes back with a 7-6 record. Hell, he could go 4-9 and still come back thanks to the shit show financial management in the AD office. He could pull a Ty and have an 11-25 record over the next 3 years and at the end of those 3 years, @Cohen12 might get us out of debt to the point that we? can finally hire Nuss.PurpleJ said:29 still think he's the guy and only 8 do not. Getting fed up with a loser program makes me a bandwagon fan?
You supported Sark until year 5. You thought Emmert was a good president. I'm sure you supported Ty as well. -
