1. Create search committee and identify national targets
2. Reveal budget projections...lose all credible external candidates
3. Hire mediocre internal candidate
4. Release budget projects EXCLUDING debt service
5. Release all-in budget projections before meeting the Trustees
The incompetence is deafening, and the train crash will be extraordinary to watch. Why Petersen is here is becoming increasingly difficult to understand. Frankly, he is the AD's version on a Hail Mary. -

Jen's pledge to upgrade the gameday experience will solve the attendance problems at Husky Stadium. If she's looking for suggestions to accomplish same my personal favorite has always been cowboy monkeys. Fill a halftime with these little guys - problem solved.

Thank the gods that Sarkisian left on his own accord rather than UW having to fire him (paying him to go away would've cost millions).
Nothing will bring back the casual / band-wagon fans like winning. I'm sure a few thousand swapped their Husky tickets for Hoook tickets the last few years. -
Christ, I decided not to pay for Husky tickets last year and went to every game (and yes, Sven, I still paid too much). The whole stadium/game experience is to just cater to families who go to the games once or twice a year. They bitch about attendance but have basically given up on the hardcore fan and alum who they need to balance the budget. I'm tired of sneaking in shit just to have an experience that would even try to compete with the nirvana of just getting fucked up and watching on your big screen in the basement with your dads and HH up on the tablet.

This language is very Trump like. It's beyond hateful and racist. Many athletes work hard, coming from humble beginnings, to get into the University of Washington. I imagine accepting their scholarship is one of the best days of their lives. Knowing that they now have the power to break the cycle, not just of their family but of their ancestors. Then they arrive at UW only to have this privileged white woman throw in their faces that they are once again on welfare and that they hurting the university.
I find it repulsive would say these things. I know it's popular nowadays to jump on the hate train. To be un pc. Donald Trump made it cool. But I thought at the University of Washington we didn't put minorities in the flat beds of our pick up trucks.
