I hope you’re right then

I should have been clearer. I don't think he's the guy to win a conference championship at UW but that doesn't mean I want him fired after Year 2.
The way I see it now (and it easily could be with @GrandpaSankey eyes), he doesn't win the conference in 2026 or 2027 but gets UW into the playoffs, loses in the 1st round, and then leaves for the NFL.
In the meantime, he and a good recruiting staff build up the talent and depth that was obliterated by DeBoer leaving.

Pup and Steel2 were the only two posters to stand by Petersen in years one and two.
YoBates and The Fire Marshall came on board in years three and four.
Now dipshits like Yellow Snow "knew it all along." You stupid fuck -
The big difference between the Petersen situation and Fisch is the transfer portal. If you want to catch up to the big boys, the portal is your route to do that. Fisch has been abysmal in that regard.
-He whiffed on getting a bunch of the Arizona guys (they chose to stay at Zona and play for a limp-dick coach rather than transfer to UW)
-As was mentioned on the pod, there was a lot wrong with last years team but far and away, the biggest issue was the offensive line. He did, imo, below the bare minimum in addressing that issue through the portal. Took one guy (Willis) who other teams actually wanted and then said "we're good"

He is a Wisconsin alumni and is probably getting hired there when Fickell doesnt work out

Or Sean Lewis

The biggest issue with Fisch is that his team has gone 15 quarters in big games without doing anything on offense.
Ohio State, Michigan, greased undefeated Maryland pre collapse, 2-6 Wisconsin.
Outside one fever dream quarter at Maryland, this offense has shit the bed in every adverse situation.
Meanwhile you have Eck in his first fucking year at UNM putting up 17 @ Michigan.
I think Fisch is a decent roster evaluator, recruiter, and CEO.
I think he is fucking horrific at preparing the offense and calling plays, but that is what he seems to hang his hat on. And that is the problem.
Playoffs or fired next year. But UW doesnt have the balls to fire him. So we better hope for playoffs with a seemingly easy schedule.

I think Fisch is a decent roster evaluator, recruiter, and CEO.
Based on what? The bad roster, lack of talent in key areas and his inability to delegate something like his shit playcalling?
He's a fraud
-
He’s smart enough to not stay long enough to fail
-
I think he plays the best players that are on the roster. Not to detract from overall roster issues
