Deboer rumor, Deion & other notes

The dawgs I believe dodged a bullet with CU this year. If they played UW wins but I’m glad they aren’t on the schedule to find out. No Travis Hunter for two weeks is awful. Nasty cheap shot.
Westy (the mailman) is an absolute stud. The guy is always open. This offense is generational. Polk not enough pub. Landon Hatchett is probably an NFL first round pick talent.
The PAC-12 is putting on a show for the last dance. If Washington can get through the gauntlet how could they not make the playoffs?
Lastly, the staff giving Bernard his due early was some cut throat action. Deboer and Grubb are straight up killers.

Keep working those solo cups, Jimmy!

If Michigan would have had to fire Harbaugh, or Ohio St/Bama opens up for some reason I'd be worried, but taking 7 mil which IIRC Petersen got to go rebuild the tire fire he just witnessed firshand just feels like wishful thinking by Sparttards.
Tennessee couldn't get Petersen.
Could 100% see MSU hiring Grubb though. -

Agree with all except Colorado
Colorado is 7-5 .. maybe 8-4 …
TCU and Nebraska are mediocre at best and CSU is a 6-6 MWC team. I think Colorado can get up for anyone but hanging for four quarters with Oregon, UW, Utah, USC or probably even UCLA isn’t likely.
Take your screen shots if it pleases you. -
I love that they came back with the same play on the next drive toorodmansrage said:

Uw will make him a top 5-8 paid coach this year if they win the conference or make the playoffs etc... Sparta ain't gonna pull someone in that scenario.haie said:If Michigan would have had to fire Harbaugh, or Ohio St/Bama opens up for some reason I'd be worried, but taking 7 mil which IIRC Petersen got to go rebuild the tire fire he just witnessed firshand just feels like wishful thinking by Sparttards.

I would be shocked if Michigan didn't open up after this season. Not sure they would want DeBoer but that's a possibility. -
The other main factor is just that schools make dumb fuck hires in the first place. They don't think like fans do. There's coaches like Tedford out there assraping power 5's but no one will touch him.AtomicDawg said:

Plus I don't agree that Michigan State is this great job. Couple more million to be the red headed step child in your own state.
The Pac schools coming into the B1G is going to hurt all of the existing members more than they think (except the obvious 3 schools), and this will just be another example of that. -

DeBoer's stock will never be higher than after this year.
I think Alabama (Saban steps down), USC (Lincoln goes to NFL), Michigan (Harbaugh goes somewhere?) would be places Kalen would find hard to turn down.
Michigan St., I don't see.
He is essentially showing that he is a legit top 5 coach and I believe that he is a savage who wants to be the best in the universe.
UW will have to pay a lot. -
Petersen was making almost 7 in the broke ass Pac 12 winning 7-8 games half his seasons. UW doesn't like to do coaching searches.Kingdome_Urinals said:DeBoer's stock will never be higher than after this year.

This was his prove it year and it looks like they will make it happen. -
Washington going to double his contract? Seems unlikely.
Ps, chort

Exactly. DeBoer took $2.5 mil at UW, but that was only because Jimmy Lake left a well oiled machine.haie said:If Michigan would have had to fire Harbaugh, or Ohio St/Bama opens up for some reason I'd be worried, but taking 7 mil which IIRC Petersen got to go rebuild the tire fire he just witnessed firshand just feels like wishful thinking by Sparttards.

He took 2.5 because no one else wanted him because he hadn't even won a Mountain West championship.1to392831weretaken said:

And there wasn't a single MW or P12 coach that thought the problem in 2021 was the players.
MSU is a gaped out fucking tire fire in all aspects and they don't even know how much they're going to have to continue to pay Mel. -

The school has a history of paying good head coaches and staffs that get results. Grubb is likely gone too so I bet the supporting staff budget goes down a bit or is redistributed within the coaching budget. I'm not worried about money itself, Something like a bama or Michigan + the money is the scenario that could be enticing.GrundleStiltzkin said:Washington going to double his contract? Seems unlikely.

More concerned about Mr. Pete Compete deciding he’s has enough and the Seabags coming after DeBoner

DeBoor getting a NFL job before Prim Tim might just be worth it for the ESPN meltdown.fivehundredmileDAWG said:More concerned about Mr. Pete Compete deciding he’s has enough and the Seabags coming after DeBoner

Everyone is also sleeping on the fact that his daughter is at UW right now. That, and a competitive salary, will keep him here a few more years. Top jobs open up all the time. 'Bama probably after next season. Same with Ohio State if Day loses to Michigan again. -
A: they haven’t won anything yet. B: perhaps we wait until he can repeat without the guy at QB he groomed that no one else cared about before we mortgage the farm. (Gordon Gekko said the same to Bud when he found out he got his inside info because his dad was shop steward for Blue Star.). He probably can; look what he did with Flamer Haener.

We cant afford DeBoer to leave

If this season plays out as we want it to, and deboer is a mercenary, he's gone. But, It wouldn't even bother me because it means this is an all time squad and the season would have been a lot of fun. I'm dooging hard and think this might be the best team since early 90s.

Michigan is a promotion over UW. Michigan State is not.
-
The only thing msu had over UW was $ (ishbia), but since he’s bought the Suns he’s had to divest from msu NIL + pare back on his AD donations. So literally no advantage anymoreYellowSnow said:Michigan is a promotion over UW. Michigan State is not.
