Amazing what having a wide open path to a championship will do for getting people to tune in. As much as people laud dynasties, nobody outside of the winning team's fanbase wants to watch the same team win every year. Basketball has had that problem for a long time.RaceBannon said: -

Embiid had a great season, but I agree. Centers aren't as important as they used to be. Jokic is a different because of his passing. Pretty much it's back to Dame begging some goodish guys to in FA and hoping he can carry them and not get injured. Grant is expected to be kind of a star and he hasn't been. He needs to be amazing. Done with Nurk, they need to trade for a center that is actually going to defend and not get in foul trouble consistently. The Beavlet is a okay backup I guess.
Thybulle feels like the only intelligent acquisition they've made in years. -

I don't care if they trade Dame.
But knowing Portland's place in the NBA they won't trade him, he has to force his way out and I don't even think he wants to leave. He's said as much. Being the 2nd or 3rd option on a contender compared to what he makes here isn't appealing to him.
I could see some pre-retirement stint with the Warriors. He's never cared about going to LA or NY. -
