They would also have taken over the Stans, Moldova, Belarus, and other places and next thing you know it's now USSR 2.0 that has all the confidence in the world and much better demographics.

As I said, the line needed to be drawn in the sand somewhere. I think it's completely reasonable to have Ukraine bleed Russia of manpower and teach them that this WW2 shit is not going to be tolerated in 2023.
