preview of coming attractions, two more nights is east Arizona, then a 17 day trip thru New Mexico sneaking on in to Texas.
Have no idea where but will start looking for a 3 month stay somewhere I am sure there will be tornados, hurricanes, flooding, bugs, and gators.

Rolled into New Mexico the other day, if you have ever seen Lordsburg you would never want to see it again. That place looks so depressed. We turned off the freeway at Motel Road or something similar to that and every business was boarded up and in shambles. Sorry no pictures.
New Mexico should put some money into that place just so it is not an eyesore to all who enter into the state. As soon as we crossed into NM speed limit dropped to 55 due to dust storms, it is high desert with what looked like absolutely nothing growing. It all looked dead.
Dust storm off in distance never bother us - it was luckily way off in the distance - looks more like haze than dust but I will trust the government to tell the truth about the dust storm wink wink

Leaving Lordsburg area was a long steady climb up into the hills and finally got into some nice areas again. Guess I am not a barren desert fan. Geez can't wait till I get to west Texas, why the hell do the relatives live there?
Coming into Silver City is one of two open copper mines - should be Copper City. - this puppy is ugly it just popped up as we came over a ridge.
Silver City was a pleasant surprise, the camp ground is isolated and quiet as can be - this is our neighboring property
and the actual site we are staying at is large with no one near us.

Getting ready to vacate the Silver City area and head to Alamogordo, NM tomorrow. Since we are in the land of the flaming assholes we had to find a good Mexican restaurant - so many to chose from how does one pick -
Well this was posted in the entrance door along with them explaining that they are having trouble keeping staff.
Kind of made the decision easier and no I am not taking it to the exTug.
The food was great carnitas tacos with a Chile verde salsa and that my friends is how they got the name Land of the Flaming Assholes. I won't need a colonoscopy this year. -
Found a town in New Mexico that I did not want to see
