@sonics1993, what the deal with UW sniffing around at another FB (kid from Utah named Coco)? I know they havent offered him yet but they are obviously talking to the kid about playing fullback. My guess is they might end up having to take Jumper as an actual TE and then still need a FB for some reason, but that seems like a terrible waste of valuable scholarship spots
Based on the plodding RB Boner is recruiting, they need a lead blocker to have any chance of picking up positive yards in the running game.
1. Are we still recruiting Wynden? 2. What's the outlook on DB recruiting? If we take Leigber and Taylor now, will we still try to flip Burke, Riley, or Smith? 3. Did we lose Lonyatta or we were not recruiting him that hard? I gotta think if we took him right now then we've given up on landing both Troy/EE. 4. Do you think we land Bowers or Shield at TE? And if we don't, is Jumper our 2nd TE and the Coco kid going to be our Fullback/Halfback? 5. Are we done at RB? 6. Do you expect Sam Adams to be on the roster a year from now?
Look, the optics aren't great and the timing is weird, but if there's one position to trust these coaches and LIPO, it's DL. You bridge jumpers need to take a step back ffs.

These kinds of comments are more effective if your posting precedent wasn't droolingly doogish.
Has Coach K and Malloe not earned a little trust around here?
Is the "woof" you woofed the other day actually happening and was it who people thought it was?
Happening on Sunday. The woof wasn't for Berry who I knew was committing because I don't think it was a big pick up. I knew Finau was getting offered but didn't know he would commit on the spot.
Is it pitch a tent worthy?
Tinae is committing on Sunday. Probably him.
@sonics1993 what are your thoughts on the Finau offer and commitment? Any insight into how that came about?
If there's two guys I trust it's Malloe and Coach K and they see a big body that can move that just needs to be coached up.
When Big Ern suggested such a thing, the townsfolk brought out pitchforks. When Sonics says it, you clap like schoolgirls. What a fickle bunch.
It’s because one of you has demonstrated a willingness to spin anything positively while the other one calls it like he sees it.
And also, the other one actually has real information.
I have real eyes and I don't need inside info to trust Coach K and Malloe.
Oh please. The things I've spun positively are 1. Let this class play out (I'll double down on that if you wish), and 2. Some of the 3* guys in this class have great upside (ditto).

Logically speaking it looks good for UW. Both recruits have strong relationships with there position coaches and both families prefer UW but until I see Jimmy close someone, I won't get my hopes up for either guy.
Is it true that JTT feels more comfortable with Big Joe in Oregon than Ikaika?
Hell no. Scott has literally no clue what he's talking about and flip flops all the time. His only source is Brandon Huffman who just hypes up anybody from FSP and anybody Gee Scott likes so he can get info from them. His recruiting blogs are worthless.
It just goes to show how important marketing is.
You could be a lazy, stupid, insecure midget; a lazy, insecure, morbidly obese autistic; and a lazy, blithering fucking idiot who was cut from a DII squad as a frosh and you can make more than every other husky fan site combined by marketing it right.
If only Jimmy got that.
Dawgman isn’t successful (if you can call it that) because of marketing. Whatever success you can attribute to it is because Samek (RIP) was first to market. First mover advantage is huge. They built a base when no one else was in the market, and while most of this OGs have long since moved on that original base gave them the resources and credibility to get hooked up with a network (Rivals which became the insiders which became scout which became fox sports for a second which became scout again which was bought up by 247).
DM is what it is because of its access to guys like Biggins and Huffman and it’s ability for people to subscribe and get access to all kinds of national coverage as well.
It guides them credibility they could never earn on their own.
It pays to be FIRST.
Bingo. The only reason I still have a sub (besides hating money) is for the National guys and access to every school’s boreds. I read other boreds because their is a treasure trove of info on them. I haven’t gotten any real info from LPT in, well, ever.

I get not liking Berry but he is far from plodding. Hes essentially a height-weight-speed prospect

To me, it looked like he avoided contact but then I read that he had an injured shoulder most of the season. If that is the case, maybe there's some hope.
That’s one of the most concerning things about this entire thing. Even our best recruiters (Jimmy, Malloe, Huff, Junior) are getting their shits pushed in.

That meathead fella down in Eugene seems to be doing a fair-to-middling job

Is it that surprising?
Jimmy has taken a massive step up from assistant/coordinator to head coach ... he may have been a strong recruiter as an assistant/coordinator but he's showing that as a head coach he's right now average at best
Huff/Malloe are generally upper tier P12 recruiters but they are struggling when you consider either a) lack of talent on the West Coast and b) the support/infrastructure that they are working within).
Adams I have a hard time getting a read on ... on one hand he seems to be very good but he's gotten blown out as often as he's landed a top tier guy. Clearly the unknown of Donovan is hurting him at least to some degree.

1. Not right know 2. Don't think we flip any DB and right now I expect it to be Tucker along with anthor DB offered. 3. He wasn't feeling us, Washington preferred him over Tinae. 4. No on Bowers, no feel on Shield. Jumper is already considered a TE 5. No idea 6. Yes

Pete was a killer and if you typed in bets coach’s son CFB on Google, he was right at the top of pretty much every list. The ones that don’t think that didn’t help us in recruiting were delusional.

I shared this with a couple guysm on the bored already. I talked to a high school coach here in Lexington. Their school has a 5-star OL who has a top 5 of Bama, UK, tOSU, Clemson, and Oregon.
The coach said Saban recently called their player and it was like getting a call from God.
That made me realize how good of a closer Pete was much by the virtue of him being named as one of the top 4-5 CFB coaches.
Jimmy is an unknown to these kids relatively speaking.
