He was talking about ultraviolet light and it’s known ability to kill virus’s including Coronavirus. It sounds crazy but most ideas in a brainstorming session sound crazy too until some inexplicably are successful.
Funny how his detractors' state of mind and physical well-being literally hinge upon Trump's every word.
Nobody will remember it this way in the end. Granted, if he wins re-election none of it will matter, but that press conference will be remembered as him telling people to inject disinfectant into themselves, whether or not he said that.
Everyone who uses the words "tells" or "told" or "advises" is lying. Trump asks lots of questions, and many are considered "dumb" or "naive." Fair criticism.
But these lame little sleighs of hand, changing the verb to misrepresent the truth of what happened are what chickenshits, useful idiots and pussies do when they have no other ammo: They just make shit up.
He absolutely was. The problem is that he shouldn’t have been the one to simplify the study for the lay person, that was the job of the DHS guy. However, because Trump wants to be at these things, he has the tendency to stick his foot in his mouth which he did.

Agree with you there seem to be a lot of really stupid people who will believe anything

Stop trying to pretend you got it all figured out and possess some magic power to protect phantom people from themselves
Trump made the remark after Bill Bryan, a Department of Homeland Security official who leads the department's Science and Technology division gave a presentation on research his team has conducted that shows the virus does not live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. Bryan said, “the virus dies quickest in sunlight," leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light "inside the body."
"So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked because of the testing," Trump said, speaking to Bryan during the briefing. "And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way and I think you said you’re going to test that too."
He added, "I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning. As you see it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."

We are seeing fake news in action. If you didn’t believe it existed before, a rational person would believe it now.
And nuke a hurricane, and look directly into an eclipse, and waterbomb a 800 year old cathedral. If he were in kindergarten in Alabama he'd be by far the dumbest motherfucker in his class. But he's the President.
Fuck errbody who enables this ignorant narcissistic sociopath POS

Trump was most likely referring to an ongoing study of chlorine dioxide as a treatment for covid-19 when he made the disinfectant comment.

We can't do THAT but we could do this
Then do it and stop fucking wasting my time
I've made a lot of dumb suggestions that turn into good solutions. I speak Trump
Me not defending Trump. He shouldn't be talking on this shit.
