It’s more about letting Fuller, Chico, and Opera Singer know they need to produce and that they don’t have guarantees to be featured players if they aren’t producing. It’s not really about Spiker or Osborne.
We play Newton. Last year we played Kirkland. Otton and Hunter Bryant played when they were young. The coaches don’t refuse to play young guys.
Yes, the offense is over complicated and I’m sure all the motions and shifts bog down young WR’s, but they wouldn’t be kept off the field if the coaches really thought they would make a difference. -
Most big-time schools(SEC,B10) only have 1 concentrated board with live traffic. The elites usually have a second tier rival with decent traffic.
Washington being the SEC of the west has 3 boards with sustained traffic. UW dawg pound has bit into dawgman quite a bit, every article has anywhere from 20-200 comments. That's not bad for UW talk sans filth.
I check there mainly for concentrated links to Washington articles or updates on former players because the Doog in me loves that shit.
Then there's also crazy Ruth who has some sort of pull.
My long winded point being trying to monetize insight into Washington sports by breaking off into another faction was probably never going to work.
DDY could learn something from lispy Oregon fan and make drunken YouTube breakdowns to boost traffic. None of their "brands" are strong enough to support it as is. -

I'm basically the perfect mark for them and I've never visited the site. I spend thousands traveling around the country watching this team play, buying gear, buying books, donating to HH, etc.
They should have just brokered a deal with Derek and got a cut of wigwam money and posted their hot takes there. -
What I glean from all of this is at least we? still have an extremely passionate fan base that still gives a fuck about Husky Football.
I know of many UW alumi/Husky fans that completely gave up after the Willingham years, and I don't blame them.
It's unforgivable what UW did to Husky football during those dark years, not to mention how they handled the NCAA/Pac10 sanctions of the 90s.
The athletic department should feel damn lucky that anyone still cares at all. -
