"National security emergencies" are the default dictator power abuse excuse.
-
Wouldn't the emergency be avoided if Trump just completed his campaign promise that Mexico would pay for it? And why the hell did he wait until his party lost the house to change his mind?
-
Because he's a fucking idiot with no integrity!uzi said:Wouldn't the emergency be avoided if Trump just completed his campaign promise that Mexico would pay for it? And why the hell did he wait until his party lost the house to change his mind?

Just a guess.
My second guess is that you don't notice things that don't fit your narrative.
Did I win? -
Trump rambled on and on at the presser - the only part I liked was Acosta asking him a question - I laffed. other than that, YAWN!!
I really am not sure which is worse, the Trumpster or the Press

JFC - there are 31 active National Emergencies in effect. There is only 1 or 2 of these that dealt with the US - the rest are knee jerk reactions I think to appease some loud mouth (could be an org, individual, assn, or a ranking member of Congress) and his special cause.

Yes Wikipedia is my source -
Since 2001 POTUS has used the emergency declarations for appropriations 18 times.
-
Meanwhile Master Beto Kennedy is demanding the existing Wall be torn down ‘cause Barriers are too effective.
Can’t make this shit up. -
Because they actually were emergencies, not fake emergencies designed to work around what Congress has already refused to fund.RaceBannon said:

The honest truth is
Trump declares one and the usual suspects are against it. He needs to do one for opiods!!! Except he did but it was a HEALTH emergency.
My truth is I want a fucking wall and at this point if a national emergency gets it then fine
They do seem to be useless as a whole -
