Time will tell if we can close on some players, but this official visit list is looking really good. I also like that we are bringing kids in earlier, as most kids were committing before Jimmy could even set them up for a visit the last couple years.
I know we're piling on the shitty recruiting right now, but this grad transfer from UAB was actually fucking good in 2019 and 2020. Was all conference both those years and had some pretty decent numbers. Was apparently hurt for most of last year.
I'm not opposed to bringing him in for 1 year as a grad transfer.
Edit: 103 tackles, 16 tfl, 9 sacks in 2019, which is the last time he played a full season. Was on at least one pre season AA list going into 2020.
The bitching about recruiting is warranted, but a bit of a stretch for this kid.

I honestly don’t care about stars - competition for the player (offers/strong interest) is the key factor for me.
So I don’t disagree about his 2019 stat line being impressive. But I also don’t think our WAC coaches are unmatched talent evaluators, especially if a kid is across the country. So it’s weird that UCF was his next big offer. I’m sure other local schools were intrigued by his past stats, but they apparently looked into him and passed.
I think that’s a valid concern to raise. All that being said, he’s a one year player so whatever. The coaches are clearly trying to put this class together with duct tape since they haven’t figured out how to out-recruit our conference rivals.
