NorthLakeDub, what is your name on dawgman? Yeah, Nick Saban had a mediocre record after four years and Frank Beamer was terrible in his first few years at Virginia Tech, but those are exceptions to the norm. Do you realize that?

The facilities argument is completely flaccid. USC has consistently had the worst facilities in the conference. As soon as Carroll showed up they started kicking ass again. Oregon's program turned around before most of the facilities improvements. The reason it turned around was because the conference sucked in the mid to late 90s and they were able to string together 4-4 and 5-3 conference records which would be inflated by their non-conference schedule, Kansas St-lite. They had all the great facilities before Chip but never became the national program they thought they were. It was Chip who took them there.

You will see in the next few years that the new facilities will not elevate mediocre-Sark to a sudden championship coach.

C'mon now, seriously? We all know that without Papa Phil paying to build the state of the art facilities in the shithole called Eugene, the Ducks would not be getting the level of recruits that they are getting now. Yes, they had good coaching to get to the level they are at now, but facilities played a huge part in it too.

And USC doesn't need to have the state of the art facilities. It's USC. LA, glitz and glamour, living the superstar athlete lifestyle in the sun. Not to mention the history and tradition they have.

    Nothing will change.

As a bench warmer in the SEC, I played very little, but I did see how winning teams are built. Cream Puff is not even close.

Lack of preparedness, direction, attitude, toughness, player development and accountability. These are coaching problems. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see things changing until a new head coach takes over.

And after having a 12-1 season as BYU QB, and being a protege under Pete Carroll at USC, Sark knows absolutely nothing about how a winning team is built. He has never seen what a winning team looks like, has he?

So I guess you must have some kind of privileged insider's perspective of the UW program and you see the daily ins and outs of the program that leads you to the conclusion that nothing will change and Sark is not even close to building a winning team?
I watch the games. That's all I need to see to know that Sark is not even close to building a winning team.

    HTH
    7-6>7-6>7-6. Hope THAT helps.

And if we don't get to at least 9-4 in 2013 then its time to make some changes. But like I said before, I think we'll get 10 wins. We will win out at home this year, yes even beating the Ducks, finally!

You were doing pretty well until the "even beating the Yucks (LOL), finally!

We were playing them pretty good in the Eugene last year until the stupid mistakes killed us and they ran away with it. If we play a smart, physical game we can beat them this year.

Yeah, we sure played them great. It was 21-0 after the first fucking quarter you rotten, yeast infected cunt!

Oh, we got an interception on Oregon's first drive. We played them so tough! We had them right where we wanted them!

I am not on Dawgman. I don't pay for any internet subscriptions, including the Seattle Times.

Honestly, no I did not realize that Saban is the exception to the norm. I also see that DJ was 6-5, 5-6, before 10-2 and winning the RB, and then went 7-4 again.

Please give me examples of coaches who took over a program from the depths of where UW was and won a conference title within 4 years. I am not asking that to be a smart ass either, I truly would like to know, to have something to compare our situation with.

And also, basically every situation is unique and different when a coaching hire is made, so I am not too overly concerned with "the norm".

Okay you are right, I overstated it when I said we started out good. It truly was a sickening game to watch.

But cool it with the name calling you fucking internet board coward. I guarantee you would not call me that to my face, and if you did I would put you fucking face into the pavement.

Aye, aye, aye... Where to begin?

Ron Zook took Illinois to the Rose Bowl in year 3. He inherited a 3-9 team that went 1-7 in conference. He's also a shitty to mediocre coach who I would compare to defensive Steve Sarkisian. Barry Alvarez went 10-1-1 in year 4 after inheriting a team that went 1-7 in Big 10 play. Bill Snyder has basically done it twice at Kansas State. There's s few examples off the top of my head. I am sure there are many others.

I agree that UW was not a great job when Sark took over, but it also was not that bad. 0-12 was a mirage, the team had plenty of talent. Look at the talent on the 2009 team. Jake Locker (1st round), Donald Butler (3rd round), Mason Foster (3rd Round), Daniel Teo' Nesheim (3rd round), Alameda Ta'Amu (4th round), Senio Kelemete (4th Round), Desmond Trufant (first round), Chris Polk (NFL RB, one of the best RB's in school history), Jermaine Kearse (NFL player, productive college WR), Devin Aguillar (Productive WR). Sure we had some holes, but if we are honest, we can admit that is nowehere near cellar dweller talent.

My next point would be 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6. Not only the record, but the way we have lost those games. We have gotten blown out by 30+ more under Sark than we did under Ty. Are you satisfied with that? Have any of the Sark teams overachieved in your eyes? That's the mark of a good coach. I would say that Sark's teams have underachieved, especially the past two years.

We will probably never have the most talent in the Pac 12, and even if we did, we need an excellent coach to be great. It's as simple as that. Look at Alabama before Saban, Oklahoma before Stoops, Florida before Meyer (Zook), Michigan with Rich Rod, USC before Carroll. Even the elite schools become average without a great coach. That is how important the coach is in college football. No other sports coach's influence comes close.

It all points to the head coach. Any excuse you want to make points back to Sark. Nick Holt was a terrible DC. Who hired him? Local recruiting has been poor? Who's job is it to make it better? How is it not Sark's fault that our OL and DL are this shitty after 4 years? Why the fuck do we only have one D tackle that is even an average Pac 12 player? Oh yeah, it was the track around Husky Stadium's fault, how could I not realize that? That's why Ty pulled in a top 15 recruiting class in 2008 and why each of Sark's except 2009 have been top 25.

I could go on and on. There is more than enough evidence that Sark has been no better than average at UW. Each year, we are a soft, undisciplined team with questionable coaching. I don't see that changing.

Don't be an idiot saying false, stupid shit and you won't have to worry about getting butthurt over being called a name. I guarantee if you called me a fucking internet board coward in real life, I'd stick your head so far up your yeast infected cunt that you'd be begging me to pull your head out so that you could go to Rite Aid and get some Vagasil. Come at me, bro!

Have you always been this stupid? Or have you had a recent, traumatic head injury? If yes, I offer you my sincere condolences. My line about shoving your head up your cunt was a joking response to your previous post about putting my fucking face in the pavement.

I like to get in fights with people who disagree with me about how good of a coach Sark is.. That's what I like to do. I take it that seriously.

I really don't give a shit about who could beat up who. I'm not a 20 year old frat boy. I called you a smelly, yeast infected cunt because I was trying to come up with something clever instead of idiot or moron when you said we played Oregon tough. I wasn't trying to be a tough guy, but if you really wanna take the gloves off... Let's roll!

I enjoy engaging in arguments about Husky Football, but I don't like cowards that say things on the internet that they wouldn't say to someone's face in real life. Calling someone a yeast infected cunt is disrespectful and the type of thing that would get your ass kicked in real life if you said it to the wrong person. So why do you think it's okay to say it on an internet board? I guess that's your thing, but that's not my style.

That being said, of course we are not actually going to exchange names and phone numbers and meet up and duke it out. As much as I would actually like to, we both know that is not going to happen.

If we ever by some incredible circumstance happen to unknowingly come across each other while tailgating, and engage in a discussion about Husky Football, or anything for that matter, and you drop a disrespectful name like cunt, I will bitch slap you and make you eat concrete. So say what ever you want on the internet, but in real life watch your mouth.

But do you really want to say things to a person on the internet that you wouldn't in real life?? Especially a fellow Dawg Fan?? Really?? Like I said, not my style.

That is all I have to say about that. Can we get back to talking about football now?

Oregon's facilities helped them but the point is they never became "elite" until Chip came along. Belotti's record was inflated by a very weak pac-10 and easy non conference schedule.

    Coach > Facilities

Saban was also 23-16 in conference his first five years and went 9-2 his fifth year. Then in his first 5 years at LSU he averaged 9.6 wins per year.

No disrespect to the owner of this website, because I like the content in the articles you have posted.

But from what I've seen so far, this board is fucking pathetic. It's basically like the same 5 or 10 guys saying the same fucking thing over and over and over and over. Fire Sark. Talk about beating a dead horse... Just keep talking about how much Sark sucks. I swear that's pretty much the only thing I've ever read from a lot of the posters on this board.
