NorthLake did come up with one quote I had never heard before, even from the doogest of doogs.

"Not even Nick Saban could win the Pac 12 with the track around the field!"

We would be coming off back to back 10+ win seasons if Saban was our coach. Who knows if we would have won the Pac 12, but we would be right at the top instead of stuck in the middle. I guarantee our OL and DL would not still be a mess. I doubt all the top in state recruits would go elsewhere. What the fuck does the track have to do with soft, sloppy play with shitty playcalling and poor player development?

I'm confused, you like the articles on this site and said Sark should be fired if he doesn't get 9 wins? Seems in-line with the vast majority here. Toughen up and next time use twat instead of cunt.

I do like the articles on here because I enjoy hearing a different perspective. And seriously, I have never been on Dawgman in my life. I do check out the commit list on Scout and I have heard their radio program on KJR several times, which was okay I guess, but I like listening to or reading anything having to do with Husky Football, so take that with a grain of salt I guess. But no, I will not pay for a subscription when there is plenty of free content out there.

And my expectations of having a championship level college football team are in line with the vast majority here. Where we differ is our belief in Sark being the right coach to get us there.

And to everyone saying I need to "toughen up" and stop "being a vag". Go fuck yourselves. I don't get butt hurt, I can take a joke. But I am not going to be insulted by some guy I don't even know and take it without responding with profanity. You guys sound like a clique of fucking high school girls the way you are reacting "if you don't like it here then go hang out with Kim on Dawgman"! Give me a fucking break.

Disagree that you "can take a joke". Plenty of evidence so far that you clearly cannot. The above post is a great example of a someone who has sand in their vag.

You left off the last part of my quote. I said with a track around the field, and a decade of miserable losing seasons. So basically I am saying that with the state the program was in, including the shitty facilities, not even Saban could win the Pac12 within 4 years. He wouldn't even be stupid enough to risk his coaching reputation by taking the job. Which is why I am impressed by a rookie head coach who has brought it back to respectability and created a buzz and an interest among big time recruits again.

Let's be serious here. You really think that facilities don't matter? Yes, they do. The track completely killed the atmosphere in the stadium, it was ugly and embarrassing. Recruits like things like a shiny new stadium on a lake, yes they really do.

In a previous post you also said:

"I agree that UW was not a great job when Sark took over, but it also was not that bad. 0-12 was a mirage, the team had plenty of talent. Look at the talent on the 2009 team. Jake Locker (1st round), Donald Butler (3rd round), Mason Foster (3rd Round), Daniel Teo' Nesheim (3rd round), Alameda Ta'Amu (4th round), Senio Kelemete (4th Round), Desmond Trufant (first round), Chris Polk (NFL RB, one of the best RB's in school history), Jermaine Kearse (NFL player, productive college WR), Devin Aguillar (Productive WR). Sure we had some holes, but if we are honest, we can admit that is nowehere near cellar dweller talent."

How is that poor player development? None of those guys were guaranteed NFL players. And yes we had some decent talent at the starting positions, but winning consistently is about overall team depth, which we had none. Now we have depth at many positions.

Yes, I can take a joke. Sorry but I don't see the humor in some guy I don't even know calling me a smelly yeast infected cunt. That kind of thing gets your jaw broken in real life.

What killed the atmosphere in the stadium was the losing and terrible coaches, not the track.

Sark hasn't done jack shit since 2009-2010. Its a square root recovery...no progress in 3 years. And the offense has fucking sucked, been disjointed and inconsistent since he's been here. He got spirits up and raised expectations right away but since then he's flat-lined.

What does 5-7-7-7 tell you? There hasn't been improvement since he's gotten his own recruits here.

The only progress is the much better defensive staff also responsible for the improved recruiting. Everything has been changed except the head coach.

Recruits will like the stadium but they don't want to play for a 7 win team regardless of if its in the new or old husky stadium. They'd rather play for a championship team in a dump. Oregon's recruiting classes (go to scout and look) didn't reach a new level until after 2009-2010.

ACSlaterDawg basically nailed it. Yes, of course facilities matter. The atmosphere was destroyed because of losing, not because of the track. Even with the shitty facilities, our recruiting has been pretty good. We have had a top 25 class 4 out the last 5 years yet we still are average. Sark has done a pretty good job upgrading the talent besides the OL and DL (I'm downplaying the fact that these are the most important position groups along with QB.) I would love to see what a good coach could do with our talent because Sark looks to be an average (at best) coach at this point. We have been underachieving under him and this year is going to be nothing special either. I don't give a shit how cool a guy Sark is or how media savvy he is, the product he is putting on the field is marginal.

Have you seen Sark teams on the road? His record is terrible, and I don't see that changing. I would love for it to happen, but I will believe it when I see it. You see us beating Stanford, ASU, UCLA, and Oregon State on the road? We are really going to beat Oregon? Vegas has us in underdogs in five games and that sounds about right to me. We will probably win one that we shouldn't, but we will also probably blow one we should win. Is 7-5 a special season to you? Is getting blown out two or three times per season acceptable to you (we will again this year)? Shouldn't pre season expectations be higher going into year?

When it comes to player development, I'm going to steal a quote from Mike Damone. Look at the overall picture. Sure, there have been some successes in player development. The failures are just as glaring, see: current OL, DL, WR, Keith Price. It's been average at best. Average is not gonna cut it, especially if we want to get where all of us want us to be.

This is what I am trying to say. Sark is the one. He is the next Dawgfather. He is a great leader and he knows what he is doing. That is my opinion. If I am wrong and we only win 8 games next year, then I will say fire him. I say we will win 10 games next year. After that, the next great Husky QB will be Troy Williams, he will take us to Rose Bowls and a NC.

    Had to bump this

I just don't get where you're getting this, seeing examples of this etc.

There have been way too many lapses and breakdowns in discipline, not to mention some of the pourous defense.

Is it possible he can become a decent coach given time? Maybe, I'd put him as probably the 8th or 9th best coach in the Pac 12 right now, and that's being kind because there are some unproven guys. He hasn't shown anything resembling DJ. I watch old games from the 80s and early 90s (because I have no life) and those teams were solid and disciplined. The coaching schemes were also solid. There wasn't confusion about assignments. There was some celebrating, but only when the games were already beyond reach.

When they got destroyed by Bammer in the SUn Bowl, he recruited better speed. When the defense got sliced in 1989, they changed it within the season. Did Holt do that? Hell no. Even during that mediocre stretch in the late 80s, DJ's teams were 21-13-1. What is Sark? 26-25? Even with these pussy schedules, I doubt he can do any better than DJ's down period over the next three years, and sadly, unless he has some losing seasons, he probably won't get canned.
