Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Swaye and I were talking a few weeks ago and he mentioned how in the 1990s, Seattle was one of the greatest places on earth. I've been thinking a lot about that comment.
And now, with homelessness being encouraged, criminal activity being made legal, police budget going to be cut by 50%, police officers being demonized, and the Seattle City Council has just passed a tax law that will impose $200 million of extra taxes on big Seattle businesses during a deep recession -- which will drive many of the business to leave the area.
Seattle is going to turn into Cleveland or Newark. And there will be no bounce back. No business person in their right mind will want to invest in the area.
And Seattleites are sitting by and letting it happen.
And this doensn't take into account how Inslee is fucking over the state as a whole.

WTF is wrong with 'you people'? Are you fucking pussies with no spine to stand up for what you believe in?
You're about 2 years away from being Charlton Heston in The Omega Man - locked inside your fortified home, carrying on conversation with some inanimate object, hoping to fuck the zombies don't stage an attack on your home. Or perhaps you simply don't give a fuck because you've Ka-Chinged on a stock option bonanza at some point in your pathetic life and think you can simply pick up and bail to Bend, OR and fuck that place up too with your indifference?
Guess what? At some point, nobody is going to want to buy your shitty 1800 square foot house for $2.5 Million.
Like @whatshouldicareabout, I also blame the Californians.
Dealers get theirs, kickbacks to the politicians, save-the-downtrodden-pseudo-charities and bureaucrats gets theirs.
Homelessness is it's own economy.
It's now MAGA country
Demographics aside, it's about capital, business, and nice middle class people like you. There's plenty of shitty majority white Midwest cities.
It’s nice to visit Seattle but every time I hear friends or family piss and moan about Seattle I remind them they don’t have to live there.
Thus far, most middle class people in Seattle are not yet very troubled by what’s going on up here. I’m clearly in the minority.
I have way more international friends in Dallas fucking Texas than my friends back in Seattle. It’s geographically a great hub
for international business between South America and Europe. Most my friends are in Europe or Asia 2/3 times a year for work, and we can discuss much of the world first hand.
This cultural arrogance Seattle has is so infinitely unwarranted or earned, there’s a reason the only time you come up in the news is to be laughed at.
