60% agree with here. Can't be too safe. This is an admission that the vaccines are not as effective as Americans were led to believe and well, Control.
You're selfish if you aren't vaxxed because I said so
People are fucking retards
I call the "I'm vaxxed so I'm safe" era the salad days. Back when hope sprang eternal and I didn't realize I could get a blood cot that would kill me and for taking that risk I got a few months of relative safety before I needed another booster quarterly that could also give me a blood clot that might kill me. That's because all the "professionals" I was told to trust lied to me about the efficacy of the drug they were getting rich off of. This Covid game sure is fun.
240 pages. 4.8K comments. It was almost exactly 18 months ago that I pinned this because we were heading into the week that America was supposed to stand still. We were only about 6 weeks into 2 weeks to flatten the curve. Since my original post we have:
Been lied to about the mortality rate Been lied to about the efficacy of masks Been lied to repeatedly about herd immunity requirements Been lied to repeatedly about the efficacy of the vaccine Seen a vaccine mandate enforced for certain jobs - with thousands being fired for non-compliance Had a vaccine mandate for air travel proposed Watched unemployment go from 3.8% to over 13%. Currently at 4.8%. Seen thousands of small business get shuddered forever. Watched countless politicians who enforce mask mandates not wear masks at events. Spent trillions of dollars to fight this bubonic plague like pandemic Seen mail in voting be normalized so one party can consolidate power Watched child attempted suicide rates soar (over 50 percent for girls 12-17) Seen all covid restrictions ignored during the summer of love, but only for justice protestors Seen credible evidence of far ranging complications emerge wrt the vaccine Seen big pharma enriched and politicians benefit from it Seen Big Tech censor all dissenting views on the pandemic Watched as a President was elected running a campaign from an actual basement - you can't find anyone anywhere who actually likes him, but he's the most voted for President in history - allegedly
There is so much more but I stopped caring enough to detail it all. This pandemic (lol) has been the biggest government power consolidation since the ability to tax was forced upon us. It has totally remade and divided society. It has given permanent majorities to single party rule in many areas. It has shredded liberty, and brought about harsh censorship of all but the "right ideology." That ideology being one of state power to enforce its' science on everyone, even when competing science exists. It's been a great 18 months. For progressives. For all the rest of us it has sucked. I keep stockpiling ammo.
I honestly had kind of checked out from being too interested in anything outside my own bubble before this. Was content to live in the eastside burbs where tax payers and sane people seemingly controlled what was happening locally.
That all changed when Inslee canceled golf for a month and a half in the face of zero data or logic to do so and then micromanaged the operations of it for another year plus. It sounds stupid for that to be the issue that woke me up, but it was and I’m sure many others have their own parallel personal example that is just as stupid. Showed that the far away monarchs had only temporarily ceded local control over people’s lives.
They also closed Hunting/Fishing/Forests for a bit in the Spring 2020...

Forgot about that. That terrifying time when a squirrel or a bush might give you Covid.
I saw a tweet where some kids today were finding out that Mad Men was based on fact when it comes to everyone smoking everywhere and the world smelling like an ashtray
I stopped smoking in the house before I quit smoking. My wife made me but still. Its a disgusting if pleasurable habit. We smoked outside the house just like folks had to start smoking outside the office building
I do have a point - there was talk at the time, the 90's, that because everyone paid for health insurance it wasn't fair that smokers drove up the rates by dying of cancer. Hillary was trying to get Kobe Care at the time as well and some of us said - I can see the government using healthcare as a reason to control actions of the people.
Never happen I was told.
Its been incremental until "they" found out in 2020 that it really works. Take over health care and then deny it to the rebels who won't conform to the government
You always pick the unpopular to get the door cracked. I mean there wasn't a lot of support for smokers. They stunk after all.
Restaurants could have gone to no smoking and office buildings could have gone to non smoking without any laws being passed. If a bar wanted to let folks smoke the non smokers could stay away
That is REAL free market not the half and half government market bullshit that our socialists idiots here are always talking about.
But no one stood up for the forlorn smoker standing in the cold rain. Or for the non vaxxed person

I love watching old Johnny Carson shows. Last night was Richard Pryor. Sitting next to him was Bette Davis. She was elegant smoking. I laffed at how the world once was. My late mother chasing all of the smokers outside one Christmas Eve because she'd finally had enough. Gathered up the ashtrays, bye!
I just ask if people don't trust the science of vaccinations if they are afraid of shit. Gets them every tim.
Neighbor has a state job, 100% vaccinated, but he has to quarantine for 10 days, and is now missing out on pay. Caught the vid from his daughter. He's been a Corona Bro, but couldn't answer my question why if in a work place everyone is vaccinated why he would need a 10 day leave, and even wear a mask. His position doesn't even interact with the public.

Super easy way to spot the loose chicks. If they smoked, they poked.
Hated that clove shit. A nice menthol was tolerable.
We need gab and rumble support stat!
Need me a new porn email account instead of hotmail.
